QuestFern is an independent, fan-run guide site for The Legend of Zelda series. It is not affiliated with Nintendo. The site is written in English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, and everything on it can be read and used without an account.
What the site covers
- Tears of the Kingdom — all 152 shrines with in-game X/Y/Z coordinates, an interactive shrine map, armor upgrade materials, recipes, boss locations and Korok seeds. Step-by-step solution pages are being added region by region.
- Series guides — which game to play first, Tears of the Kingdom compared with Breath of the Wild, the Switch 2 Editions and Zelda Notes.
- News that stays useful — release dates, prices and what has actually been confirmed for the Ocarina of Time remake, amiibo and the 2027 film. The site does not chase rumours.
- Breath of the Wild guides are planned and will follow the same format.
How the guides are made
- Every fact has a source. Shrine coordinates were compared against the game's own map data and a second independent table before publication; the method is written up on the shrine list page.
- Nothing is guessed. When a detail could not be confirmed the page says so, and when sources disagree both versions are shown side by side.
- Chinese item, place and character names follow the official localization for each region.
- Every article shows the date it was last checked. Corrections are made on the page itself.
Screenshots, videos and the map
- Step-by-step screenshots are frames taken only from YouTube videos that their authors published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licence. Each image credits the author and links to the exact second it came from.
- Embedded videos belong to their creators and play through the official YouTube or Bilibili player.
- Checklists and the shrine map keep your progress in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is nothing to sign up for.
How the site is funded
QuestFern is free to read and is funded by advertising. Ads have no say in what a guide recommends, and the guides contain no paid placements.
