Mineru’s Construct is the first Tears of the Kingdom amiibo since the four Sage figures, and the reason you may have seen headlines about a “Tears of the Kingdom September update” or “DLC”. This page has the confirmed details and the correction.
When does the Mineru amiibo come out?
Nintendo’s US store lists the release as September 17, 2026. The UK Nintendo store lists September 16, 2026 — regional release dates differ by a day. Pre-orders are open at Nintendo’s stores and major retailers.
How much does it cost?
The UK store lists £24.99. The US store page did not display a price when we checked; IGN reported $34.99 when the figure was confirmed. We will replace the report with the official price once the page shows it.
What does it unlock?
Nintendo’s description: scanning gives random items in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and in Tears of the Kingdom you “may” receive an exclusive paraglider fabric. The fabric’s name has not been published. The figure has articulated arms and works with the NFC reader on both Switch and Switch 2.

How does it work with Zelda Notes?
On the Switch 2 Editions, amiibo can be scanned through the Zelda Notes feature of the Nintendo Switch App once per day, with one extra scan after five uses. The Sage amiibo — Sidon, Tulin, Yunobo and Riju — were added to Tears of the Kingdom in Ver. 1.4.0 on June 3, 2025. Why the confusion about DLC?
Several outlets ran the amiibo announcement under “Tears of the Kingdom official update coming in September”. ScreenRant’s own summary states that no DLC is in development and nothing official has been announced. A separate story about “online co-op” in Tears of the Kingdom refers to a fan-made mod, not a Nintendo release.
