Step-by-step solution

More Than Defense is built around three shields, each taken from the room where its special function is needed.

1. Fire Shield and Ice

Take the fire shield. Defeat the Soldier Construct carrying a Flame-Emitter Shield and pick up its shield.

Melt the path open. Equip the Flame-Emitter Shield and use its fire to melt the large block of ice ahead.

Melt the chest free. Find the other large ice block nearby, melt it with the same shield, and open the revealed chest for Arrow ×5.

2. Stone Shield and Flames

Take the stone shield. Continue until you meet a Soldier Construct carrying a Stone-Slab Shield. Defeat it and pick up the shield.

Block the flames. Equip the Stone-Slab Shield and use it to cover Link while moving past the flame barrier.

3. Clear the Room

Clear the next room. Defeat the Soldier Construct below the following area.

4. Rocket to the Altar

Build a Rocket Shield. Take one of the Rusty Shields from the cement pedestal, then use Fuse to attach one of the nearby Rockets.

Launch upward. Equip and activate the Rocket Shield to gain height.

Glide to the altar. Once high enough, glide toward the altar platform and examine it for the Light of Blessing.
