Breath of the Wild Snowquill Set: Where to Buy, Set Bonus, Upgrades

The Snowquill set is the cold-weather set for Hebra and Vah Medoh’s surroundings. Rito Village sells it. For all the ways to stay warm see cold resistance; for every set see all armor and for the Great Fairies armor upgrade materials.

Where do you find each piece of the Snowquill set?

All three pieces, the Snowquill Headdress, Snowquill Tunic and Snowquill Trousers, are sold at Brazen Beak, the armor shop in Rito Village (Game8).

What does the Snowquill set bonus do?

Zelda Dungeon: “Negates all ice damage.” Each piece on its own has Cold Resistance, which is what keeps you from losing hearts in the cold.

How much defense does each piece give?

3 at base and 20 at four stars.

What does it take to upgrade the Snowquill set?

Upgrades are done at a Great Fairy Fountain, one star at a time, for materials only (no rupees). The table is per piece.

The materials are all warm things, the same ones that cook into spicy (cold resistance) dishes; the recipe finder lists them.

When should you wear the Snowquill set?

Wear it in Hebra and on the Gerudo Highlands. Once all three are at two stars, Ice Keese, Ice Wizzrobes and ice attacks no longer freeze you. Elsewhere it is just a defense set.
