Build the bat: jam a stake into the dark side of the rotating machine, then attach a wooden pole to the stake’s back.
Unpin it: pull out the stake that is stuck in the ground next to the machine — it blocks the swing.

3. Hitting the Left Target
Step on the orange floor switch to power the big target on the left.
The floor lines light up as the ball rolls past. Hit the switch when the ball reaches the line in front of the bat — the ball flies into the left target and the altar gate opens.

4. Getting the Chest
Chest: a second target appears on the right. Attach the two remaining stakes to the back of the stone slab, then rotate the slab up so the stakes pin it to the ceiling over the track — the ball now deflects toward the right target’s angle. Time the swing again; the side gate opens: Energizing Elixir.

Energizing Elixir
Pin the slab to the ceiling, bat the ball into the right target
Near the Exchange Ruins in Hyrule Field, northeast of Hyrule Field Skyview Tower, at -0706, -0869, 0057.
How do I hit the target in Mayachin Shrine?
Build the bat (stake into the machine's dark side, pole on the stake), remove the stake pinning the machine, step on the orange switch, and hit the trigger as the rolling ball crosses the lit floor line nearest the bat.
How do I get the chest in Mayachin Shrine?
After the left target opens the altar gate, a right-hand target activates. Stake the stone slab to the ceiling above the ball track so the ball deflects toward the bat at the right angle, and hit the switch again. The chest holds an Energizing Elixir.
