What is a practical Sundelion farming route?

Use three sky-island stops: South Eldin Sky Archipelago, the islands east of Josiu Shrine, and Courage Island. Activate their nearby shrine travel gates once, photograph a growing Sundelion, then set Sensor+ to it. Carry stamina food and leave room to land safely when moving between islands.

The first plant of stop one grows right beside Kadaunar Shrine. Photograph a growing plant before picking it so you can track Sundelions later.

The map marks 14 selected plant placements for the stops below. These are fixed locations to check, not a promise of 14 flowers on every visit: a plant you recently picked can still be absent. Nearby sky islands can overlap on the map at very different heights, so compare the third coordinate as well as X and Y.

Drag to move and zoom in to tell the points apart; on a computer, click the map first and the mouse wheel zooms it. Ticks are saved in this browser only; no account is needed.

Which coordinates should you follow at each stop?

Coordinates are approximate X, Y, in-game height; the plant position can differ slightly from Link’s standing position. The order within each stop is a suggested collection order between plant positions, not a timed speedrun. The linked shrine guides cover first access; a shrine’s entrance may sit below the grassy surface where the flowers grow.

South Eldin, near Kadaunar Shrine1905, 1214, 12556Search the grassy surface near the shrine, check east toward 1975, 1216, 1250, then sweep south through the cluster around 1939, 1158, 1251 to 1939, 1112, 1253
North Necluda, east of Josiu Shrine1927, -1183, 7783Reach the lower island east of the shrine; check south toward 1944, -1208, 778 and 1952, -1220, 778
Courage Island, near Taunhiy Shrine-2363, 825, 6095Search the grassy level around height 609, move south past -2358, 789, 611, then east toward -2307, 799, 609

Do not jump toward an icon until you can see its landing area. If the target is above you, reach the upper surface first using the island’s paths, climbing or Ascend where a suitable ceiling exists. After learning a landing you like, a Travel Medallion can reduce the setup on later visits.

At each stop, follow the sensor until it quiets, pick up the remaining visible plants and mark the points you checked. If a point is empty, move on to the next stop; staying put or teleporting straight back does not refill it. You can also find Sundelions by fallen sky ruins on the surface, but this route keeps its primary stops in the sky.

How many gloom-damaged hearts does a Sundelion restore?

Cook Sundelions in a pot for the Sunny effect. Each supplies 3 hearts of gloom recovery, so one to five Sundelions give a base recovery of 3, 6, 9, 12 or 15 gloom-damaged hearts. Choose the batch size for the damage you need to repair instead of always spending five flowers.

Gloom recovery repairs the hearts that gloom has disabled. It is a different job from ordinary red-heart healing, and it does not provide Gloom Resistance. Carry ordinary healing food as well. For a mixed dish, use compatible ingredients; adding another effect such as attack or cold resistance can cancel the intended bonus. The Sunny recipe guide covers cooking combinations and the distinction from resistance food.

How many should you reserve for armor?

Champion’s Leathers, two to four stars10 + 15 + 20 = 45
Full Stealth set, four-star step10 for each of three pieces = 30
Both goals, with those stages still unfinished75, plus any flowers you want for cooking

These are Sundelion subtotals, not the full upgrade bill. Check your already completed stages against the armor materials table so you do not farm more than needed.

Why is the sensor beeping but no flower is visible?

Check the height first: sky-island markers can overlap even when the plants are hundreds of metres apart vertically. Next, confirm that the target is Sundelion, inspect the grass and edges around the coordinate, and check whether you recently picked that plant. The map stores your own check marks; it does not read your save or detect plant respawns.

Treat the route as a set of places to revisit while playing elsewhere. Plants reportedly regrow independently of the Blood Moon: they come back gradually once you have been away from the area for a while, so pick them, go elsewhere and return later.
