TotK Labyrinths: All 3 Lomei Labyrinths and the Evil Spirit Set
How to clear the three Lomei labyrinths in Tears of the Kingdom: surface, sky and Depths floors, their shrines, and the Evil Spirit armor each one gives.
Tears of the Kingdom has three Lomei labyrinths. Each one is built on three floors, the surface, a sky labyrinth floating above it and a Depths labyrinth below, and finishing all three floors gives you one piece of the Evil Spirit set. This page covers where they are, the order of the floors and a short route for each.
Where are the three labyrinths?
| Labyrinth | Region | Surface | Sky | Depths | Side quest | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lomei Labyrinth Island | Akkala Sea | Lomei Labyrinth Island | Lomei Sky Labyrinth | Lomei Depths Labyrinth | The Lomei Labyrinth Island Prophecy | Evil Spirit Armor |
| North Lomei Labyrinth | Northeast Tabantha, Hebra | North Lomei Labyrinth | North Lomei Castle Top Floor | North Lomei Depths Labyrinth | The North Lomei Prophecy | Evil Spirit Greaves |
| South Lomei Labyrinth | Eastern Gerudo | South Lomei Labyrinth | South Lomei Castle Top Floor | South Lomei Depths Labyrinth | The South Lomei Prophecy | Evil Spirit Mask |
Each labyrinth also has two shrines: one at the center of the surface maze and one at the entrance of the sky labyrinth.
| Labyrinth | Surface shrine | Sky shrine | Fly up from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lomei Labyrinth Island | Igashuk Shrine | Mogisari Shrine | Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower |
| North Lomei Labyrinth | Mayaotaki Shrine | Tenbez Shrine | Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower |
| South Lomei Labyrinth | Motsusis Shrine | Siyamotsus Shrine | Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower |
How does a labyrinth work?
The three side quests follow the same steps, and the game’s quest log spells them out:
- Surface. At the entrance a tablet promises a reward to whoever “wakes the dragon ring deep in the maze”. Reach the center, where the shrine is, and activate the terminal in front of it.
- Sky. A voice sends you to one side of the labyrinth of the sky. At its entrance the voice asks you to activate four terminals hidden inside. Once all four are on, a fifth appears on the roof.
- Depths. The fifth terminal tells you to “Prove your courage by diving into the depths of the earth.” Dive through the middle of the sky labyrinth, all the way down past the surface maze into the Depths.
- Finish. In the Depths labyrinth a Flux Construct III waits in the central room. Beat it, activate the last terminal and open the chest.
Whoever built them introduces themselves at the end: the “ruler of dragons” at Lomei Labyrinth Island, the “ruler of owls” at North Lomei and the “ruler of boars” at South Lomei.
How do you get through the surface maze?
Go over the walls, not through them. Use Ascend from any low ceiling or alcove, or light a campfire and ride its updraft, then walk along the tops of the walls and drop down near the center.
If you would rather walk, follow the trail laid through the maze: nuts at Lomei Labyrinth Island and South Lomei, pine cones at North Lomei. Leave them where they are and follow them to the center.
North Lomei is cold, so bring cold resistance there. Its shrine entrance is blocked by ice: melt it with fire.
How do you get through the sky labyrinth?
Fly up from the skyview tower in the table above, land on a nearby sky island and build an aircraft for the last stretch. The quest log tells you which side the entrance is on: the south side at Lomei Labyrinth Island, the west side at North Lomei and the north side at South Lomei. The shrine there is worth activating first, so you can travel back.
Activate the terminal at the entrance, set the quest in your Adventure Log so the four terminals show on the map, and climb up to the roof. From the roof you can walk straight to each terminal and drop down to it.
A Travel Medallion placed on the roof saves a lot of climbing between terminals. After the fourth, go back up and activate the fifth on the roof.
What is in the Depths labyrinth?
The Depths floor is dark but short. Throw Brightbloom Seeds to light the way to the central room. A Flux Construct III waits there. As with every Flux Construct, its weak point is the glowing core cube: hit it, or pull it out with Ultrahand. See Flux Construct locations for tactics.
When it is beaten, activate the last terminal and the chest opens.
Each Depths labyrinth also has a Lightroot: Kuhsagi Lightroot at Lomei Labyrinth Island, Ikatoayam Lightroot at North Lomei and Sisustom Lightroot at South Lomei.
What do the labyrinths give you?
| Piece | Labyrinth | Defense | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Evil Spirit Mask | South Lomei | 4 | Stealth Up |
| Evil Spirit Armor | Lomei Labyrinth Island | 4 | Stealth Up |
| Evil Spirit Greaves | North Lomei | 4 | Stealth Up |
With all three on, Stal monsters do not attack you and bone weapons do more damage. The set cannot be upgraded; see sets that cannot be upgraded.
The other chests on the way hold Zonaite gear. Every labyrinth has a Mighty Zonaite Sword, Mighty Zonaite Longsword and Mighty Zonaite Spear, a Zonaite Bow and a Big Battery spread over its floors, and its sky floor also has a Mighty Zonaite Shield. The surface floors of Lomei Labyrinth Island and North Lomei also hold Zonai Charges.
