Tears of the Kingdom Flux Construct Locations: All 35, HP, Drops, Medal
All 35 Flux Constructs in Tears of the Kingdom, in the sky and the Depths, with coordinates, HP, how to beat each form, Zonai drops and the Monster Medal.
A Flux Construct is, in the game’s words, “a construct composed of interconnected blocks, made by the Zonai”, which “can rearrange the blocks to change its shape at will”. The first one is the fight on Great Sky Island; 34 more wait on other sky islands and in the Depths. This page lists all 35 with coordinates, gives the HP and drops of each type, shows how to break one apart in screenshots, and covers the Flux Construct Monster Medal.
How many Flux Constructs are there?

| Sky islands | 4 | 4 | 7 | 15 |
| The Depths | 3 | 9 | 8 | 20 |
| Total | 7 | 13 | 15 | 35 |

How do you beat a Flux Construct?
Every type has one weak spot: the glowing block.
Zelda Dungeon describes three forms, and the Construct switches between them:
In its humanoid form it punches and slams; Game8 advises keeping your distance and shooting, and closing in only when it is stunned.
What does a Flux Construct drop?
| Type | Always | Zonai charges | Zonai devices |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flux Construct I | Flux Construct I Core | 6–8 Zonai Charge | 2 |
| Flux Construct II | Flux Construct II Core | 7–9 Zonai Charge; 20% for 2–3 Large Zonai Charge | 1–2 |
| Flux Construct III | Flux Construct III Core | 8–10 Zonai Charge; 60% for 2–3 Large Zonai Charge | 5–6, each 97% a device and 3% a Big Battery |
Rates are from the game’s drop tables as read by zeldamods’ radar. The devices come from a shared Zonai-device table rather than a fixed list, which is why each fight drops different ones — in the screenshot below, a Portable Pot and a Fan.
How do you get the Flux Construct Monster Medal?
Gralens of the monster-control crew, in the Emergency Shelter at Lookout Landing, gives it once you have beaten all 35 — the same routine as the Hinox and Stone Talus medals.
- After one of the crew’s side adventures, Gralens offers the big-monster quests (Game8). The Flux Construct one is Unknown Sky Giant: by the game’s quest log, the crew spotted “a mysterious monster in the West Hebra Sky Archipelago”. That is the West Hebra Sky Archipelago row in the sky table.
- Beat all 35, the Depths included. Once the quests are done, Gralens tells you how many of each kind are left (Game8).
- Go back to him for the medal: “An award presented by the monster-control crew in appreciation for defeating every Flux Construct in Hyrule.”
Where does this data come from?
- Spawn points and drop rates: the game’s placement and drop-table data as served by zeldamods’ radar for objmap-totk. Place names are the nearest named map markers.
- Names and quotes: the game’s own text (TotkText, game version 1.2.1).
- HP, forms and strategy: Game8’s Flux Construct I, II and III pages and Zelda Dungeon’s Flux Construct pages; the medal count is Game8’s.
- Screenshots: Jlatzss14 (CC BY).
More big monsters: all 87 Taluses, all 69 Hinox, the Moldugas, the Frox, all 34 Lynels and the Gleeoks.
Story bosses: the five temple bosses and the final battle with Demon King Ganondorf.
