TotK Silent Princess: Locations, Cooking Effect and Armor Upgrades

Silent Princess is a white flower that glows in the dark. The Hyrule Compendium says: “This lovely flower was said to have been a favorite of the princess of Hyrule. They were once feared to have gone extinct, but it’s not uncommon to spot them growing in the wild.” It is both the strongest stealth ingredient and something several armor pieces ask for at their higher levels. This page lists every wild flower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and adds up what the upgrades cost.

Three places are worth a trip of their own:
- Rist Peninsula (49): the spiral peninsula in the northeast corner of Akkala. The flowers stand at the centre of the spiral, where the 12th Dragon’s Tear falls. This patch is said to appear only once that tear has fallen, so if you find no flowers there, finish the Dragon’s Tears first.
- Satori Mountain (27): 19 by Rutile Lake and 8 more on the slopes. It is close to Lookout Landing and the easiest patch to reach early on.
- Link’s House (10): near Tarrey Town in Akkala.
Picked flowers grow back after a while, so one or two fixed routes are enough.
What does Silent Princess do in a dish?
It gives the dish Stealth Up, which makes it a Sneaky dish. In the game’s cooking data its value for this effect is 3, the highest of the six stealth ingredients; Silent Shroom and Stealthfin Trout have 2 and Blue Nightshade has 1.
- Level 3 stealth takes 9 points, so three Silent Princesses cook a level 3 Sneaky dish, in the fewest slots.
- Each stealth ingredient adds 2 minutes. For a long-lasting dish, five Silent Shrooms are the better deal, which leaves the flowers for armor.
- Fused to a weapon it adds 1 attack power and no special effect, so it is not worth using that way.

The Stealth set asks for 5 a piece at four stars only. Sheik’s Mask, the Tunic of Memories and the Champion’s Leathers ask at every level, and for more each time. The Champion’s Leathers alone cost 21; all six pieces cost 72, which one trip to Rist Peninsula and one to Satori Mountain will cover. For every other material, see armor upgrade materials.
