How do you reveal Sato Koda Shrine?

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this shrine belongs to EX Champion Mipha’s Song. Complete the four opening DLC shrines, then visit this Champion’s monument to start its trials. The Champions’ Ballad overview covers those prerequisites and the branch order.

Travel to Upland Zorana and defeat all the Guardians assigned to the trial. Check above you for Guardian Skywatcher enemies as well as the fixed Guardian Turret. Use cover to avoid several beams locking on at once, and finish one target before moving to the next. The shrine appears only after the full group has been cleared.

This is an additional DLC shrine and does not count towards the 120 base-game shrines.

How do you solve Support and Guidance?

1. Bridge the first gap and brace the upper seesaw

Stand on the central viewing platform facing the waterfall course. Use Cryonis in the first gap below the orb’s starting route so the ball can reach the upper seesaw. Create the second block beneath the left end of that seesaw, holding it at the angle that directs the orb onwards. Watch an orb pass to check that neither piece catches its path.

Keep this first bridge until the orb has crossed it.

2. Build a stop on the lower left

Create a third ice block beneath the lower-left ramp where an unsupported orb would drop away. Position it to catch and redirect the orb towards the right-hand route. You now have all three available ice blocks in use. Do not add the last bridge yet: doing so would remove the first block while the next orb still needs it.

3. Replace the first ice only after the orb passes

Wait until an orb crosses the first gap and lands on the upper ramp. Now create a fourth ice block down and to the right of the lower-left stop, bridging the route towards the launcher. Cryonis removes your oldest block, but this orb has already passed it. The orb should roll right, drop to the launcher and be thrown into the socket automatically, opening the gate.

The lower ice supports completing the path to the launcher
Build the last lower bridge only after the first bridge has done its job.

4. Climb above the receiving socket for the chest

After the gate opens, move towards the orb’s receiving socket and look up at the ledge above it. Build staggered Cryonis blocks on the waterfall, climb from one to the next and step onto the chest platform. Collect the core before returning to the open gate and meeting the monk.

Ice steps leading up the waterfall to the chest platform
The chest is above the socket, reached with a separate ice staircase.

Where is the treasure chest?

The one chest holds a Giant Ancient Core on the high ledge above the orb’s receiving socket. After the orb lands successfully, use the waterfall on that side to build a climbable ice staircase. Climb to the ledge, open the chest and return to the monk’s route.

What can go wrong?

  • The first gap opens again before the orb arrives: you made the fourth ice block too early. Wait until the orb has passed the first block.
  • The upper seesaw tips the wrong way: place its support under the left end, not beneath the centre hinge.
  • The orb falls left at the bottom: check the lower-left stop before adding the lower-right bridge.
  • You miss an attempt: watch where the next orb falls and adjust that one support; there is no need to catch the orb by hand.

What do you receive, and where do you go next?

Speak to the monk for Ruta’s Emblem. The other shrines in this branch are Kee Dafunia Shrine and Mah Eliya Shrine. Collect all three emblems from this branch, then return to Divine Beast Vah Ruta for the memory rematch. This shrine awards an emblem rather than a Spirit Orb; the main walkthrough explains the next fight.
