What does Hearty do?
Hearty food is the healing you save for hard fights. The game describes it as restoring your health and temporarily raising your maximum hearts; the elixir’s text adds that the extra hearts are lost as you take damage, so eat it when you need it rather than in advance.
Which ingredients give Hearty?
Seven ingredients carry it. In the cooking data Big Hearty Radish is the strongest (20), ahead of Hearty Lizard, Hearty Salmon and Big Hearty Truffle (16 each); Hearty Truffle is the weakest (4). Hearty has no levels: the stronger the ingredients, the more extra hearts.
