How to get the Demon King's Bow in Tears of the Kingdom from Phantom Ganon, and how its attack grows with your heart containers up to 60.

The Demon King’s Bow is “a magical bow prized by the Demon King. Its performance reflects the power of its wielder.” It is never in a chest. You take it from Phantom Ganon, and it grows stronger as you add heart containers.

How do you get the Demon King’s Bow?

Beat a Phantom Ganon and pick up the bow it leaves. Phantom Ganons appear:

  • In Crisis at Hyrule Castle, where you fight five.
  • In the Deku Tree’s chasm, during the Master Sword chapter.
  • After Gloom Spawn. Destroy the hands of gloom (Gloom Hands) and a Phantom Ganon appears in their place.

How strong is the Demon King’s Bow?

The game says it outright: “The higher your maximum number of hearts, the more its attack power increases.” It caps at 60 attack; it is said to gain 2 attack per heart container. Durability is 42. One arrow per shot.

Gloom does not come into it. Unlike the gloom sword, club and spear, the bow does not wear down your hearts. Heart containers come from Goddess Statues; whether to take hearts or stamina first is on hearts or stamina.
