How to beat Calamity Ganon and Dark Beast Ganon in Breath of the Wild: HP by Divine Beasts freed, both phases, the Bow of Light and every weak point.
In the game’s words, Calamity Ganon is “the source of the darkness that has appeared time and again throughout Hyrule’s history”, confronting Link “in an incomplete state”. You fight him in the Sanctum of Hyrule Castle, then his true form, Dark Beast Ganon, on Hyrule Field. How do the Divine Beasts change the fight?
Every Divine Beast you freed fires on Calamity Ganon when the fight starts, taking 1,000 of his 8,000 HP (Zelda Dungeon). Any Blight you have not beaten fights you first, in the Sanctum.

How do you beat Calamity Ganon?
There is no post-game content, so there is no reason to save anything: eat your best food and use your best weapons and arrows (Zelda Dungeon, Game8). He counts as a Guardian-type enemy, so Ancient and Guardian weapons deal extra damage (Zelda Dungeon).
The safest damage comes from Perfect Dodges into Flurry Rushes: backflip his horizontal sword slashes, side-hop the vertical ones (Zelda Dungeon). Arrows to the eye also interrupt his attacks (Game8), and multishot bows with Ancient or Bomb Arrows in slow-motion aiming from Revali’s Gale do the most damage fastest (Zelda Dungeon).
How do you beat Dark Beast Ganon?
The game describes Dark Beast Ganon as Ganon’s “original” form, formed from the Malice left after Link defeated him, his awareness “consumed entirely by Malice”. Nothing you carry can hurt it.
That is eight targets in all — six on its sides, the belly and the eye — which is also how the game’s parameter files count it: Dark Beast Ganon has 8 life points and each weak point 1.
After the ending you are taken back to your last save before the battle, and the save file is marked with a star (Game8).
