Breath of the Wild Blights: How to Beat All Four, HP and Rewards

The four Blights are the phantoms of Ganon that killed the Champions a hundred years ago and took over the Divine Beasts. Each Beast ends with one of them. The game’s own descriptions sum each one up: Waterblight “attacks with a spear and ice magic”, Windblight “specializes in long-range wind attacks”, Fireblight “attacks with a greatsword and fire magic” and Thunderblight “specializes in quick, lightning-based attacks”.

How much HP does each Blight have?

The game gives every Blight the same base, 800 HP. How much they actually have depends on where you fight them and how many you have beaten before (Zelda Dungeon):

So the Beast you finish first always has the weakest Blight, whichever Blight that is. Any Blight you have not beaten waits in the Sanctum before Calamity Ganon, in the order Windblight, Waterblight, Fireblight, Thunderblight, and you fight them back to back with no chance to save (order: Zelda Wiki’s Throne Room page; HP: Zelda Dungeon).

How do you beat Waterblight Ganon?

How do you beat Fireblight Ganon?

Which Blight is the easiest?

The first one you fight, whichever it is: a Blight has 800 HP plus 400 for every Blight you have already beaten, so the fourth has 2,000 (Zelda Dungeon; the 800 base matches the game’s parameter files).

What happens if I skip a Divine Beast?

Its Blight waits for you in the Sanctum of Hyrule Castle, before Calamity Ganon, at a fixed 2,000 HP. Those fights run back to back with no chance to save (order: Zelda Wiki’s Throne Room page; HP: Zelda Dungeon).

What do the Blights drop?

A Heart Container each, and freeing the Divine Beast gives the Champion’s ability: Mipha’s Grace, Revali’s Gale, Daruk’s Protection or Urbosa’s Fury.

How do you beat Thunderblight Ganon?

Dodge or parry its rushes and strike back; in phase 2 grab one of the metal stakes it plants with Magnesis and swing it into it to break its shield (Game8, Zelda Dungeon).
