Which shield is the best?

The Hylian Shield: guard 90 and durability 800, both the highest of any shield. Zelda Dungeon notes that if it breaks, Granté in Tarrey Town sells a new one for 3,000 rupees once the side quest From the Ground Up is complete — without bonuses — and that Link can only hold one Hylian Shield at a time.

Which shields deflect Guardian beams?

Zelda Dungeon notes the Ancient Shield (guard 70), like the Guardian Shields, deflects a Guardian’s beam without a parry, at the cost of durability. Cherry at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab makes the Ancient Shield for 1,000 rupees, 10 Ancient Gears, 15 Ancient Springs and a Giant Ancient Core, once the furnace is lit with the Blue Flame.

Where does Daybreaker come from?

Daybreaker (guard 48, durability 60) was Urbosa’s shield. Zelda Dungeon: Riju gives it in Gerudo Town after Thunderblight Ganon is beaten inside Vah Naboris, and Buliara remakes it from a Gerudo Shield, a Diamond and five Flint if it breaks. See the Blights.
