TotK Lightscale Trident: How to Get It and Remake It

The Lightscale Trident is the spear of the Zora Champion Mipha. In Tears of the Kingdom Dento, the blacksmith of Zora’s Domain, forges one for you. It lasts longer than any other weapon in the game.

How do you get the Lightscale Trident?

Finish the main quest Sidon of the Zora, then talk to Dento at his forge in Zora’s Domain. That starts Glory of the Zora.

The Zora spear must have nothing fused to it. Dento turns an altered one down: “I cannot craft the Lightscale Trident using an impure Zora spear.”

Hand the three things over and he forges the trident on the spot.

Can you get another Lightscale Trident?

Yes. The quest log says Dento “can forge the Lightscale Trident again if it is lost or broken, so long as you have the necessary materials”. It is the same list. He checks first: while the old one still exists, he answers, “I sense that the Lightscale Trident has not been lost to this world.”

Is the Lightscale Trident good?

22 attack and 70 durability. 70 is the highest durability of any weapon (shields aside), and 22 × 70 is the best attack times durability of any spear. It is said to deal more damage when wet, which the game does not show. Its repair is on weapon durability.
