The Magic Scepter is “a long and mysterious magical rod, it’s said to have been wielded by an ancient magician who awoke the latent power of gems.” It is the two-handed member of the family: the Magic Rod is one-handed and the Magic Staff is a spear.

Where do you find the Magic Scepter?
The game data places it in no chest on the surface, sky or Depths and in no monster’s hands. You find it in four shrine chests:

Can you buy the Magic Scepter?
Yes, after you have had one. All six Bargainer Statues in the Depths list it, for 100 Poes. The one at Lookout Landing does not.
How do you use the Magic Scepter?
Unfused, it has 7 attack and 14 durability: weak. Its point is the gem. Fuse a ruby, sapphire, topaz or opal to it and each swing sends out that element (fire, ice, lightning, water), which beats monsters weak to it. The Fuse guide has more on materials.
