A Talus is “naturally camouflaged as a rock formation”, says the game, and “neither sword nor arrow can pierce its stony form”. This page lists all 40 with coordinates, gives each kind’s HP and drops, shows the climb-and-hit fight in screenshots, and explains Kilton’s Medal of Honor: Talus.

How do you beat a Talus?
“A cunning adventurer knows to scale its body and attack the ore sprouting from its peak” — the game’s own hint. Game8’s routine: shoot the ore with an arrow to stun it for 2–3 seconds, climb up, and hit the ore; a hammer’s charged attack does the most.
Its only attack is to throw its stone arms at you, which covers a wide area — sprint to one side (Game8). Game8 advises against trying to parry the stones: even a perfect parry lets the debris hit you. After losing its arms it stops to recover them, which is another chance to climb from behind.
The Frost Talus below shows the extra step that elemental Taluses need. The game says an Igneo Talus can be climbed “if you can use something to chill its flames”, and a Frost Talus “if you use something to thaw its icy exterior”.

How do you get the Medal of Honor: Talus?
Beat every Stone Talus (Luminous and Rare included), Frost Talus and Igneo Talus in the base game at least once, then talk to Kilton at the Fang and Bone (Zelda Dungeon). Like the Hinox medal, it has no use beyond bragging rights.
