BotW Eightfold Longblade: Attack, Durability and Locations

Eightfold Longblade is a two-handed weapon in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game describes it this way: “A single-edged sword seldom seen in Hyrule. This weapon is passed down through the Sheikah tribe and has an astonishingly sharp edge ideal for slicing.” This page gives its numbers and maps every place the game puts one.

Where do you get Eightfold Longblade?

The game’s world data places it in 2 spots: 1 in treasure chests and 1 carried by monsters.

Zoom the map in to tell the points apart, and pick a kind or a monster in the list above it.

The same spots summed by nearest landmark, largest group first. “Show on map” moves the map above to one of them.

• Carried by a monster: beat the monster and it drops the weapon. Most often Black Lizalfos (1). Monsters get stronger weapons as you defeat more of them, so the one you meet may carry a better one.
• Treasure chest: open the chest to take it.

How good is Eightfold Longblade?

It has attack 32 and durability 25. How durability runs down is in weapon durability; the strongest picks are in best weapons.
