BotW Royal Halberd: Attack, Durability and Locations

Royal Halberd is a spear in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game describes it this way: “This spear was issued to the knights who guarded Hyrule Castle’s throne room. Its ornate design was applied by a craftsman in service to the royal family.” This page gives its numbers and maps every place the game puts one.

Where do you get Royal Halberd?

The game’s world data places it in 7 spots: 1 in treasure chests, 5 carried by monsters, and 1 lying in the world. The most are near Coliseum Ruins (3), in the Central tower region.

Zoom the map in to tell the points apart, and pick a kind or a monster in the list above it.

The same spots summed by nearest landmark, largest group first. “Show on map” moves the map above to one of them.

• Carried by a monster: beat the monster and it drops the weapon. Most often Black Moblin (2), Black Lizalfos (1), Black Bokoblin (1), and Stalnox (1). Monsters get stronger weapons as you defeat more of them, so the one you meet may carry a better one.
• Treasure chest: open the chest to take it.
• Lying in the world: placed in the scenery, free to pick up.

How good is Royal Halberd?

It has attack 26 and durability 50. How durability runs down is in weapon durability; the strongest picks are in best weapons.
