What should you bring?
Only the approach asks anything of you: the southern summit is cold, so bring cold protection—insulated gear or warming food—for the climb. The trial itself requires no abilities or equipment: all five orbs are carried by hand, with no call for Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis, or bombs, and no combat. Keep the paraglider ready for the chest detour, and if you also plan to solve the northern twin, bring some way to record this room’s starting layout before you move anything.
The starting pattern in each shrine is the answer to its partner. Keep a record of this room before moving anything if you also plan to solve the northern shrine. The table below supplies the northern room’s starting pattern, so you can solve Shee Vaneer directly.

2. Place the Balls to Match the Pattern
Set the farthest row: carry a ball to row 1, hole 5.
Set the next row: place a ball in row 2, hole 1.
Set the middle row: place a ball in row 3, hole 2.
Set the next row: place a ball in row 4, hole 4.
Set the nearest row: place a ball in row 5, hole 2. With the complete pattern in place, the gate opens.

Collect the optional chest before finishing. Ride the lift again and glide to the ledge behind the pillar on the opposite wall.

4. Complete the Shrine
Go through the open gate and climb the ladder. Speak to the monk to complete the shrine.
Carry the balls by hand. The normal route needs no Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis, bombs, or particular weapon; the chest route uses the paraglider.

What do people miss here?
Once the gate opens, the ladder to the monk looks like the only way on, but the shrine’s single chest — a stone chest — waits on the far wall’s ledge to the left of the top of the lift. Glide across and open it before you climb the ladder and collect the Spirit Orb.
The stone tablet at the entrance is the only in-game clue to the twin mechanic: ‘The shrines atop these peaks share a connection—their memory the answer to the other’s question. Commit to memory before you start, lest, a failure, you will depart.’ Read it before you touch a single orb.
The grid is not waiting empty — all five orbs are already inserted in slots when you walk in, so the room can look half-solved at a glance. There are no other mechanisms, switches, or enemies here; where those five orbs sit is the entire trial.
Clearing this shrine first carries a hidden cost: its untouched layout is the answer for Shee Venath on the northern peak, and once the orbs are rearranged, that original layout can no longer be seen in-game. Solve here without recording the starting pattern and the northern twin is left with nothing in-game to copy.

What is the Shee Vaneer Shrine ball order?
Stand on the elevated viewing platform facing the grid, read rows from farthest to nearest, and count holes from left to right. Put the balls in columns 5, 1, 2, 4, 2; this copies the northern shrine’s initial layout.
Where is the hidden chest in Shee Vaneer Shrine?
Ride the lift and glide to the ledge on the opposite wall, behind the pillar. Its contents have two reported names, Eightfold Longblade and Edge of Duality; these are conflicting accounts of the same chest, not separate rewards.
Do I need Magnesis or a weapon for Shee Vaneer Shrine?
No rune or particular weapon is needed for the normal solution: pick up and carry the balls by hand. This is a memory puzzle, not a Test of Strength; use the paraglider to reach the chest.
