BotW Great Frostblade: Attack, Durability and Locations

Great Frostblade is a two-handed weapon in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game describes it this way: “This magic-infused greatsword was forged by smelting ore found in the Hebra Mountains’ permafrost. Attack when the blade glows blue to expel freezing air.” This page gives its numbers and maps every place the game puts one.

Where do you get Great Frostblade?

The game’s world data places it in 3 spots: 2 carried by monsters and 1 lying in the world.

Zoom the map in to tell the points apart, and pick a kind or a monster in the list above it.

The same spots summed by nearest landmark, largest group first. “Show on map” moves the map above to one of them.

• Carried by a monster: beat the monster and it drops the weapon. Most often Black Lizalfos (1) and Stalnox (1). Monsters get stronger weapons as you defeat more of them, so the one you meet may carry a better one.
• Lying in the world: placed in the scenery, free to pick up.

How good is Great Frostblade?

It has attack 30 and durability 40. How durability runs down is in weapon durability; the strongest picks are in best weapons.
