TotK Goddess Statue Locations: All 18 and What They Do
All 18 Goddess Statues in Tears of the Kingdom on a map: which ones trade four Lights of Blessing right away and which four need a quest.
Goddess Statues are where Link gains hearts and stamina. In the game’s words, “You can trade four Lights of Blessing to one for a Stamina Vessel or a Heart Container.” The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has 18 of them on the map, most in villages and towns, a few down a well, on sky islands or beside a spring. This page lists every one on a map and says which need a quest first.

The landmark is the nearest named place on the map. The 14 rows named Goddess Statue are ordinary statues; the four with a name of their own need a quest first (see below). A few rows are hard to find from the landmark alone:
- Emergency Shelter: the shelter under Lookout Landing. The statue is on the lowest floor.
- East Akkala Stable: not at the stable itself but at the bottom of East Akkala Stable Well beside it, behind a rock you have to break.
- Temple of Time and Temple of Time Ruins are two statues. The first is on the Great Sky Island, where the opening main quest has you offer Lights of Blessing for the first time. The second is on the Great Plateau on the surface.
- Dragonhead Island: one of the Thunderhead Isles above Faron. The statue is in the ruins on the island.
- Mother Goddess Statue: the nearest landmark reads Mount Drena, but the statue is at the far end of the Forgotten Temple, in the canyon below the mountain.
What can you do at a Goddess Statue?
- Trade for a container. Each shrine you clear gives one Light of Blessing. Pray with four and you get one Heart Container or one Stamina Vessel, your choice. For which to take first, see hearts or stamina.
- Strengthen a sage’s vow. Offer four Sage’s Wills to strengthen one sage’s vow.
Ordinary statues all do the same thing, so use whichever is on your way.
Which Goddess Statues need a quest first?
Four: the statues at the Spring of Courage, the Spring of Wisdom and the Spring of Power, and the Mother Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple. Each has a side quest named after it, and the four quests form one chain:
- Pray at any of the three spring statues. She cannot sense the “Mother Goddess Statue in the vast canyon” and asks you to check on it.
- Go to the Forgotten Temple. That is the vast canyon; a great Goddess Statue there has been toppled over.
- Report back at the spring, then offer a dragon’s claw. Each spring wants a different claw. Drop it in the spring water to finish the quest; the statue gives you a gem.
- Do the same at the other two springs. Reportedly you do not need to go back to the Forgotten Temple for these; just offer the claw.
- Return to the Forgotten Temple. With all three done, the Mother Goddess Statue is restored. Pray to her for the White Sword of the Sky.
| Side quest | Where | Offer | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goddess Statue of Courage | Spring of Courage (Faron) | Farosh’s Claw | Topaz |
| Goddess Statue of Wisdom | Spring of Wisdom (Mount Lanayru) | Naydra’s Claw | Sapphire |
| Goddess Statue of Power | Spring of Power (Akkala) | Dinraal’s Claw | Ruby |
| The Mother Goddess Statue | Forgotten Temple | Finish the three above | White Sword of the Sky |
The springs can be done in any order. For the dragons’ routes and how to knock a claw off, see dragon parts. If you lose the White Sword of the Sky, offer the three dragons’ claws to the Mother Goddess Statue and she gives you another.
Once their quests are done, these four reportedly work like any other statue for trading Lights of Blessing.
Is the Horned Statue something else?
Yes. There is only one Horned Statue in the game, in the Royal Hidden Passage, which you enter through the hole in the wall of the Emergency Shelter at Lookout Landing. It does not take Lights of Blessing; it deals in rupees. It buys one Heart Container or Stamina Vessel from you for 100 rupees and sells back whichever kind you want for 120, so each swap costs 20 rupees. The way in and its quests are covered in hearts or stamina.
Below most of the big Goddess Statues on the surface, a Bargainer Statue waits in the Depths. It takes Poes rather than Lights of Blessing and trades them for armor and materials: see Bargainer Statues.
Can you have a statue at home?
Yes. Once Link’s house is built beside Tarrey Town, you can add a Blessing Room for 400 rupees. The game describes it as “A shrine complete with a Goddess Statue. You can pray to it for strength whenever you want.” It is not on the map or in the table above.
