Tears of the Kingdom Fuse Guide: Fuse Attack Power of Every Material
How Fuse adds attack and durability in Tears of the Kingdom, the fuse attack power of 148 materials checked across sources, and which weapons double it.
Fuse is how weapons get strong in Tears of the Kingdom. The game’s own tip: “The Fuse ability enables you to attach items not only to swords or arrows but also to shields.” This page explains how much a material adds, which weapons multiply it, and lists the fuse attack power of 148 materials — every one confirmed by at least two sources.
How much does a material add?
Each material has a fuse attack power, shown under its name in the inventory once you have Fuse. Zelda Dungeon describes how it applies:
- One-handed weapons: added to the displayed attack. A Bokoblin Horn (4) on a decayed Traveler’s Sword (5) makes a Boko Reaper with 9 attack.
- Two-handed weapons and spears: the same, but the displayed number is off — two-handed weapons show 95% of their real power and spears 132.68%, and a fused material’s share is shown the same way.
- Arrows: mostly the fuse attack power as shown, but teeth and claws count double: Bokoblin, Moblin and Boss Bokoblin Fangs, Horriblin Claws, Lizalfos Talons, Hinox Toenails and Teeth, Frox Fingernails, Lynel Hooves, Light Dragon’s Talon, the dragons’ Claws and Shards of their Fangs.
- Shields: the fuse attack power raises the shield bash.
A weapon fused onto another weapon adds its base attack. Fusing also adds durability: Zelda Dungeon gives +25 for a monster material on most weapons and +10 for Royal Guard and Gloom weapons and cheap gear such as the Tree Branch, Torch and Soup Ladle. More on durability.

Notes · ¹ One source only · ² Sources disagree; the value most sources give
- Zora Longsword (Intact) — Durability: samurai-gamers 27, GameWith 30, Zelda Dungeon 30
- Zora Spear (Intact) — Durability: samurai-gamers 35, GameWith 40, Zelda Dungeon 40
- Gerudo weapons — Strong Fusion doubles the fuse attack power of anything fused to them (Zelda Dungeon). The game’s description: “Attaching a material greatly enhances the material’s power but doesn’t add as much durability.”
- Zora weapons — Water Warrior doubles the whole attack, base plus fuse plus bonus, while the weapon is wet (Zelda Dungeon).
- Zonaite weapons — they resonate with attached Zonai devices to raise their attack, slightly, somewhat or greatly for the three grades (game text).
- Forest Dweller’s weapons — in the game’s words, “bursting materials attached to the tip can be reused again and again”.
What do different materials do?
Beyond the number, the game’s tips describe what whole families of materials do:
- Monster tails make a weapon extendable, “increasing the range of your attacks”.
- Gems “unleash its hidden elemental power”, firing “projectiles of fire, ice, and so on”.
- Large leaves create “a huge gust of wind” with every swing.

How do you unfuse?
Two ways, per Game8:
- Inventory: select the weapon and “Destroy Fused Material”. The weapon goes back to normal and the material is destroyed.
- Pelison’s Break-a-Part Shop in Tarrey Town: 20 rupees, and the material comes back. Worth it for a Silver Lynel horn on a weapon that is about to break.
