Gleeoks are the three-headed dragons at the top of Tears of the Kingdom’s field-boss ladder. There are three elemental kinds on the surface and the King Gleeok in the sky and the Depths. The Thunder Gleeok at the Coliseum Ruins stands right above the Depths’ Floating Coliseum, where five Lynels fight.
How do you beat a Gleeok?
At low health it flies up out of reach. Game8’s answers: ride a Frost or King Gleeok’s falling ice spikes up with Recall, ride the updrafts from a Flame Gleeok’s fireballs or a King Gleeok’s thunderstrikes with the paraglider, or fuse Aerocuda Eyeballs to your arrows so they home in. A Thunder Gleeok brings a thunderstorm with it, so leave metal weapons and shields in the inventory. For a King Gleeok, Game8 adds high ground (Ascend, Zonai Springs) and cover from its three elements.

How do you get the Gleeok Monster Medal?
Gralens of the monster-control crew, in the Emergency Shelter at Lookout Landing, gives it once you have beaten all 14 — the same routine as the Hinox and Stone Talus medals.
- After one of the crew’s side adventures, Gralens offers the big-monster quests (Game8). The Gleeok one is Unknown Three-Headed Monster: by the game’s quest log, “a traveler was attacked by a three-headed monster at the Bridge of Hylia in Faron” — the Flame Gleeok at Bridge of Hylia.
- Beat all 14, the King Gleeoks included. Once the quests are done, Gralens tells you how many of each kind are left (Game8).
- Go back to him for the medal: “An award presented by the monster-control crew in appreciation for defeating every Gleeok in Hyrule.”
