Look for Puffer Beach below the southern cliffs of Nette Plateau. Once on the beach, follow the sand west to Loone’s campsite and the nearby pedestal. The shrine is underground until you complete her photo request, so finding the spot is only the beginning. Use the shrine-finding guide when planning your approach.

What should you bring?

Pack for a straight fight: the Guardian Scout III has 1500 HP, so bring at least two melee weapons with durability to spare, plus a bow and arrows and the Paraglider. Ice or electric attacks make the duel much easier, but they are optional rather than entry requirements - bait the spinning approach into the stone pillars, and ride the sweeping ground laser’s updraft with the Paraglider to close back in. No puzzle runes are used inside the shrine; the Camera Rune only matters for the Guardian Slideshow quest outside, since the shrine stays buried until the orb is placed in the pedestal.

How do you complete Guardian Slideshow?

You need the Camera Rune. If it is missing, visit Purah at Hateno Ancient Tech Lab and repair the Sheikah Slate before attempting the photo request.

1. Guardian Slideshow: Raise the Shrine

Talk to Loone beside the pedestal. The woman holding the orb on the beach starts Guardian Slideshow.

Photograph each requested Guardian type. Use the Camera Rune on active Guardians at the locations above; keep the pictures in your Album.

Return and show Loone the photos. After she has seen the requested types, ask for the orb she calls Roscoe.

Carry the orb into the pedestal’s hollow. The shrine rises from the sand; enter for the combat trial.

How do you beat the Guardian Scout?

2. Defeat the Guardian Scout

Enter with your weapons ready. Use ice to freeze the Scout or electricity to stun it, then follow up with melee attacks. These effects are useful options, not an entry requirement.

Use a pillar during its spinning approach. Put the pillar between you and the Scout; attack during the pause after it crashes. If it misses a pillar, wait for the spin to end before approaching.

Back away from the sweeping ground laser. Its sweep creates an updraft; open the Paraglider to ride above it and close the gap for another attack.

Press the attack when it starts its late-fight laser charge. This is the stronger laser phase, so concentrate on finishing the Scout instead of waiting in front of it. Defeating it opens the gate.

3. Collect Rewards

Collect the reward before leaving. Pick up any dropped gear you want, open the chest beyond the gate, then approach the monk for the Spirit Orb.

What do people miss here?

The ‘Lake’ region tag is easy to over-trust: the shrine actually stands on Puffer Beach in the Faron Grasslands, on Hyrule’s far southern coast. If your checklist files it under Lake Tower, do not comb the lake area itself - aim for the southern shoreline below Nette Plateau.
All three photos must capture live Guardians, and the two field subjects are working war machines: the Skywatcher at the Akkala Citadel Ruins and the Stalkers of Hyrule Field are active and dangerous. Plan your shot and your escape route - Loone herself refuses to get near Guardians for exactly this reason.
1500 HP is a durability sink: one well-worn favorite weapon can snap before the Scout goes down, and the Scout’s own Guardian Spear+ and Guardian Shield+ only drop after it is defeated, so there is nothing to scavenge mid-fight.
The chest past the gate is not a stock reward - the Royal Broadsword inside has upgraded durability, so it outlasts the ordinary version and is worth the stop before you claim the Spirit Orb.

Why is Shoqa Tatone Shrine not showing up?

It starts underground on Puffer Beach. Complete Guardian Slideshow by showing Loone the requested Guardian photos, then place her orb in the nearby pedestal.

Which Guardian pictures does Loone want?

She wants a Guardian Skywatcher, a Guardian Scout, and a Guardian Stalker, all active rather than rusted remains. Keep the photos in your Sheikah Slate Album; Compendium entries alone are not enough.

What if I already defeated the small Guardians?

Guardian Scouts in Test of Strength shrines respawn after a Blood Moon. Return to a combat shrine and photograph the Scout before defeating it again.
