Where is Tutsuwa Nima Shrine?

From East Akkala Stable, head west through the Akkala Highlands to the Spring of Power; the shrine entrance is behind the spring itself. The only thing standing between you and the door is the shrine quest — the Ancient Shrine stays sealed until Dinraal’s Scale is offered at the spring, so talk to Nobo at the stable first to start The Spring of Power. The real danger isn’t on the route; it’s waiting behind the sealed door.

What should you bring?

Cook up some food before heading into this shrine — the Guardian can pack quite the punch, and its low-health explosive lasers are even worse. Bring your most durable weapons and a sturdy shield for perfect guards, and know that Major Tests of Strength are something you may want to avoid until you have better armor, better weapons, and a few more heart containers under your belt. No rune is strictly required, but the thin coat of water on the arena floor lets you put Cryonis and electricity to work, so shock weapons or arrows are worth packing.

How do you solve Tutsuwa Nima Shrine?

This trial is a pure duel: a Major Test of Strength against a Guardian Scout IV on a water-covered floor. You win it with perfect guards, sidehops, and backflips at melee range, then close in aggressively at the end before its explosive laser barrage can fire.

1. Reach the Spring of Power

Talk to Nobo at East Akkala Stable and ask about the surrounding area (the “[This area?]” option). She recites the legend — “Offer the sacred article to the Spring of Power” — and the shrine quest “The Spring of Power” begins.

Head west from the stable into the Akkala Highlands until you reach the Spring of Power, where the goddess statue stands before the sealed shrine entrance.

Approach the Spring of Power Statue, which instructs you to “offer Dinraal’s scale, received from the red spirit, to the Spring of Power.”

If you don’t have one yet, obtain a Dinraal’s Scale from Dinraal, the red spirit, then make your way back to the spring.

Drop the scale into the spring’s water — the sealed door behind the spring opens and reveals the Ancient Shrine, just as your Adventure Log confirms.

2. Defeat the Guardian Scout IV

Enter the shrine and the monk’s voice greets you: “I am Tutsuwa Nima. In the name of the Goddess Hylia, I offer this combat trial.”

Take stock of the arena before engaging: the floor is covered in a thin coat of water, so both the Cryonis rune and electricity can be used to your advantage.

The three-armed Guardian Scout IV attacks with a Guardian Sword++, Guardian Spear++, and Guardian Shield++ — every one of its hits lands hard.

Stay locked on and sidehop or backflip its weapon swings (target the enemy, strafe or backpedal, then jump). A perfectly timed dodge can trigger a flurry attack, great for dealing extra damage.

Perfect guard (raise your shield, then parry) the hits you can’t dodge, and keep watching for its ranged attacks throughout the whole fight, not just at the end.

When the Guardian is almost defeated, it charges its most dangerous move: explosive laser volleys. Sprint in before it finishes charging and try to defeat it before the barrage starts.

3. Claim the reward

With the Guardian destroyed, the portcullis at the back of the chamber opens. Go through, open the stone chest for the Flamespear, then speak to Tutsuwa Nima on the Monk’s Pedestal to receive your Spirit Orb — he wishes you well and disappears.

• The door behind the Spring of Power never opens on its own — it’s gated by the offering, not a switch. If it’s sealed, return to East Akkala Stable, ask Nobo about the area ([This area?]) to start The Spring of Power, then offer Dinraal’s Scale at the spring.
• The stone chest sits behind the portcullis with the monk and is easy to stride past while reaching for the Spirit Orb — open it for the Flamespear before you leave.
• Backing off when the Guardian is nearly dead is exactly the wrong move: that’s when it starts charging explosive laser volleys. Run up and finish it before it starts shooting instead.
• Don’t tune out at mid-range — the Guardian uses ranged attacks throughout the fight, and the explosive lasers at the end are simply the worst of them.
• If you’re under-geared, postpone it: Major Tests of Strength are tricky for less experienced players and best avoided until you have better armor, better weapons, and a few more heart containers. Cook up some food before heading in either way — this Guardian can pack quite the punch.
