Voo Lota Shrine Walkthrough – Warbler's Nest Quest & Wind-Glide Trial

Where is Voo Lota Shrine?

Warbler’s Nest sits on the cliffs of the Tabantha Frontier just west of Rito Village — glide off the village’s western edge and it is a short flight down. The closest warp point is Akh Va’quot Shrine back in Rito Village to the east, with Bareeda Naag southeast and Sha Warvo north if you are sweeping the region. The nest itself is a quiet stone ledge, but there is no shrine to see until the sisters’ recital is complete.

What should you bring?

Two requirements gate this shrine: finish the Divine Beast Vah Medoh main quest, and carry a Korok Leaf to Warbler’s Nest — the rock-hole puzzle at the end of the quest cannot be solved without one. You do not need to shop for food: the sisters hand you every ingredient (Goat Butter, Hearty Salmon, Tabantha Wheat) and the village cooking pot is right there. Inside the shrine, no runes, weapons, or resistances are needed — the paraglider does all the work against the floor spikes and lava.

How do you solve Voo Lota Shrine?

This trial is one long paraglider ride over lava: fans and wind tunnels boost you from platform to platform, and each spiked wall is passed by riding high, then cancelling and reopening your glide to dip underneath it.

1. Summoning the Shrine

Finish the Divine Beast Vah Medoh main quest first — that is what puts Kheel at Warbler’s Nest and lets you clear the Find Kheel side quest at the same spot. Talk to the frustrated Kheel, who asks you to round up her sisters, starting Recital at Warbler’s Nest.

In Rito Village, speak to Genli at the cooking pot: she flatly refuses to practice until someone makes her Salmon Meunière. Her sisters have already gone off to gather the ingredients.

Round up the three sisters: Cree is inside the Slippery Falcon and hands over her Goat Butter; Kotts is fishing at the ponds along the waterway into Rito Village and gives you a Hearty Salmon; Notts is singing on a ledge overlooking Akh Va’quot Shrine and gives you her Tabantha Wheat. All three then fly off to Warbler’s Nest.

Cook the Salmon Meunière at the village cooking pot with the ingredients you were just given, then hand it to Genli — she keeps her promise and heads to the nest too.

Return to Warbler’s Nest, stand on the pedestal while the five sisters sing, and swing a Korok Leaf to blow air through the holes in the surrounding rocks in time with their song. Played correctly, Voo Lota Shrine rises out of the ground, completing the quest.

2. Hit the Crystal and Glide to the Gate

Enter the shrine and climb the ladder directly ahead all the way to the top; the short tunnel leads to a glowing orange crystal, and the doorway slams shut behind you as you approach it.

Hit the crystal, then pop your paraglider instantly — the floor beneath you swings open and drops you straight toward the lava.

Glide into the fan updraft and let it carry you over to the platform facing the locked gate in front of the monk’s pedestal. Land there; that gate is your exit and it needs a key.

3. Wind Stream and Small Key

From the gate platform, jump off to the left (west of the monk) and glide across to the next platform, letting go short of the wall of floor spikes; then follow the path to the tunnel and ride the rising wind stream up to the level above.

Head right and ride the wind stream between the two spiked obstacles: carry enough height to clear the spikes on the platform, then cancel and immediately reopen the paraglider to skim beneath the spiky wall. Stay inside the stream — drift out and you drop into the lava.

Land on the next platform and open the chest parked beside the spike wall to claim the Small Key for the locked gate.

4. Optional Treasure and Exit

Go right and paraglide down to the platform below, then follow the path. From here the wind stream can carry you straight to the gate — or you can push a little farther for treasure.

Optional chest: walk past the final wind tunnel and up the ramp; from the top, glide out and drop quickly onto the small middle platform. The timing is tight because the wind accelerates your glide and the lava waits below — the chest holds a Flameblade with Attack Up +10.

From that platform, ride the wind streams back to the earlier platform, take the wind tunnel to the gate platform, and unlock the gate with the Small Key. Speak to Voo Lota to receive your Spirit Orb.

What do people miss here?

• The shrine is buried until the quest is done — if the nest looks like empty rocks, you have not finished Recital at Warbler’s Nest, and without a Korok Leaf you cannot finish it.
• Kheel never appears at the nest before Divine Beast Vah Medoh is complete, and the Find Kheel side quest wraps up at the same spot — do those first or the shrine quest will not trigger.
• Kotts is the sister most players miss: she is not in the village but fishing at the ponds on the waterway leading into Rito Village.
• Riding the final wind tunnel straight to the gate skips the Flameblade chest — it sits on a middle platform you drop onto from the ramp past the tunnel, and the wind streams carry you back afterward, so grab it any time before you speak to the monk.
• Most lava deaths come from the spiked-wall section: fly too low and the platform spikes get you, drift out of the stream and you fall — the fix is the cancel-and-reopen dip while staying centered in the wind.
