Where is Qukah Nata Shrine?

Look for the giant mound on the hill at Calora Lake’s southeast edge. The shrine is hidden inside it, so reaching the marker in the shrine locations table does not immediately reveal a doorway.

For the waterfall approach, wear Zora Armor to swim up the nearby waterfall toward the lake, then look for Kass on the shore and the mound above it. The armor helps with the approach; the lightning solution uses a metal weapon.

What should you bring?

Bring at least one metal weapon — it is the lightning target that shatters the mound, and an all-wood loadout cannot draw the strike. Zora Armor is the recommended way to ride the waterfall up toward Calora Lake, but it is a convenience rather than a requirement. The shrine itself needs no abilities or resistances: it is a Blessing trial with no combat, and Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis, and Remote Bomb are never used inside.

How do you solve A Song of Storms?

The solution is to attract lightning onto the mound. This route uses a dropped metal weapon, with no Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis, or Remote Bomb operation inside the shrine.

1. Speak to Kass

Listen to Kass. Speak to him by the lake and agree to hear the ancient song to register the shrine quest.

2. Reveal the Shrine with Lightning

Leave a metal weapon on the mound. Climb onto its top and drop the weapon there as a lightning target.

Retreat and wait for the strike. Move away from the mound; lightning hitting it breaks the rock and exposes the shrine.

3. Enter and Complete the Shrine

Activate the entrance and open the chest inside. Activating the revealed shrine completes the quest; the chest lies on the path toward the monk.

Approach the monk at the altar. Claim the completion reward to finish the shrine; there is no further puzzle or combat encounter.

The local thunderstorm persists before completion. Waiting for clear weather does not solve the entrance puzzle; if finding the hidden site is the problem, see the shrine-finding guide.

What do people miss here?

• The waterfall is a shortcut, not a gate. Without Zora Armor you can still reach the lakeshore and the mound on foot, so don’t turn back at the falls.
• The storm never clears on its own: the thunderstorm around the lake only subsides after the shrine is completed. Until then, unequip any metal weapons whenever you are not deliberately drawing a strike, or the lightning targets Link instead of the mound.
• The interior is a single straight corridor to the altar, so it is easy to beeline past the Rubber Tights chest — open it on the way in, since the monk fades away once he grants the Spirit Orb.
• Region bookkeeping can trip you up: the shrine counts toward the Faron tower-region checklist, but Calora Lake sits in West Necluda, so don’t skip it while sweeping a different map region.
