Where is Raqa Zunzo Shrine?

The shrine sits at the Sand-Seal Rally in the Gerudo Desert, in the Wasteland region of the map. On arrival you will see no shrine at all — the only signs of it are a stone Pedestal and an Ancient Orb, the Grand Trophy, resting in the sand nearby. That’s your confirmation you’re in the right place: the shrine itself is buried beneath the ground until The Undefeated Champ is completed.

What should you bring?

Nothing inside matters — the shrine interior has no puzzles and no enemies, so no runes, weapons, or special gear are required there. The only gate is skill, not equipment: you must beat Tali’s 1:30 sand-seal race record at the rally. Bring patience for the race rather than gear.

How do you solve Raqa Zunzo Shrine?

This is a Blessing shrine where the whole trial happens outside: win the sand-seal race to earn the Grand Trophy and raise the shrine, then walk in for a free chest and Spirit Orb.

1. Race for the Grand Trophy

Travel to the Sand-Seal Rally in the Gerudo Desert (Wasteland region). You’ll see no shrine here — only a stone Pedestal and an Ancient Orb, the Grand Trophy, resting in the sand nearby.

Try to pick up the Grand Trophy and Shabonne will shout at you that it’s only for those who have proven themselves in the sand-seal races — hands off until you earn it.

Talk to Shabonne and Tali at the rally. Shabonne asks if you want to try beating Tali’s time, warning that they don’t call her the ‘Dame of the Dunes’ for nothing. This starts the Shrine Quest The Undefeated Champ.

Hear the terms: Tali’s record is 1:30. Finish a race faster than that and the Grand Trophy — passed down by ten thousand years of sand-seal-racing champions — is yours.

Race the sand-seal course and finish in under 1:30. You only need one run faster than her record, so a botched attempt costs you nothing — just try again.

2. Place the Trophy and Reveal the Shrine

When you clock a faster time, Shabonne cries ‘It’s a… A new record?!’ and Tali hands the Grand Trophy over: ‘I believe this belongs to you…’

Tali shares the champions’ legend: ‘When the holy jewel is offered unto the pedestal, the chosen one will be granted a new power.’ That power has never been granted to anyone — not even her — but she senses it emanating from you.

Carry the Grand Trophy to the Pedestal and place it in the concave slot.

Raqa Zunzo Shrine emerges from the sand, completing the Shrine Quest.

3. Collect the Chest and Spirit Orb

Enter the shrine. The monk Raqa Zunzo greets you: by entering this place, you’ve already proven your worth. Inside is one large room with no puzzles and no enemies — just a single pathway leading to the Monk’s Pedestal.

Open the Treasure Chest in the center of the room to claim the Radiant Shield, which comes with increased durability.

Speak to Raqa Zunzo at the end of the path. In the name of Goddess Hylia he bestows your Spirit Orb, wishes you well, and fades away.

• The shrine doesn’t exist yet when you arrive — it’s buried beneath the ground at the Sand-Seal Rally. Seeing only a Pedestal and the Grand Trophy orb is normal, not a bug; you must finish The Undefeated Champ to raise it.
• Grabbing the Grand Trophy before racing just gets you scolded by Shabonne. Talk to her and Tali instead to start the quest properly.
• The 1:30 record is the real difficulty of this shrine — the interior has no puzzles and no enemies at all. A slow first run costs you nothing, since you only need to beat the time once.
• With no puzzle to solve, it’s tempting to walk straight to the monk, but don’t skip the chest in the center of the room — that’s your only chest and it holds the Radiant Shield with increased durability.
