Gorae Torr Shrine stands on top of Gut Check Rock in northeastern Eldin, north of Death Mountain (coordinates 2663, 3457, 0483). The rock is a freestanding pinnacle, so expect the final approach to be a climb up the rock itself rather than a walk. For orientation, Zuna Kai Shrine lies east of here, Shora Hah Shrine to the west, and Shae Mo’sah Shrine to the southwest.

What should you bring?
You need nothing for the shrine itself — Gorae Torr’s Blessing is a single puzzle-free room with no combat or rune use. The only gate is outside: the Gut Check Rock Challenge asks you to climb the pinnacle while collecting 100 Rupees in under three minutes, so arrive with enough stamina to keep climbing without long breaks. Bring stamina-restoring food if your stamina wheel is small.
The entire trial is front-loaded into Bayge’s timed climb — collect 100 Rupees and top Gut Check Rock within three minutes, and the shrine inside is a pure Blessing with no puzzles at all.
1. Starting the Gut Check Challenge
Travel to Gut Check Rock in northeastern Eldin, north of Death Mountain. The shrine is perched on top of the pinnacle — when you first arrive, you won’t be able to activate it.
Approach the shrine and you’ll find a Goron named Bayge, of the Goron Blood Brothers, standing in front of it. He declares the platform sacred and open only to ‘real Goron men’.
Talk to Bayge. His refusal to move is what starts the shrine quest The Gut Check Challenge.
Bayge decides you seem like a man of action and challenges you to clear the Blood Brothers’ hard-core training program: the Gut Check Rock Challenge.

2. Climbing Gut Check Rock
Begin the minigame. The rules: climb the pinnacle of Gut Check Rock while collecting at least 100 Rupees, all within a three-minute limit.
Climb the rock and grab the Rupees you find along the route — reaching the top isn’t enough on its own, the Rupee count matters.
Finish the climb before the timer runs out with 100 or more Rupees collected to clear the challenge.
Bayge keeps his word and steps out of the way, granting you the honor of standing on the sacred platform in front of the shrine.

3. Claiming the Blessing
Enter the shrine — the monk Gorae Torr greets you. This is a Blessing shrine: one straightforward room with no puzzles to solve.
Open the Treasure Chest in the center of the room to claim a Great Frostblade.
Walk up to the Monk’s Pedestal and speak to Gorae Torr to receive a Spirit Orb. The monk wishes you well and fades away.

Great Frostblade
Sits in plain sight in the center of the shrine’s single room. There are no puzzles or guardians — just walk up and open it before claiming your Spirit Orb.
What do people miss here?
The shrine looks inactive on arrival because Bayge is physically blocking it — talking to him is the only way to trigger The Gut Check Challenge, so don’t go hunting for another entrance.
Climbing to the top of Gut Check Rock alone doesn’t count: the challenge requires collecting at least 100 Rupees during the ascent. Skim on Rupees and Bayge stays put.
The three-minute limit is strict. If time runs out or you come up short, nothing is permanently lost — the shrine simply stays sealed until you clear the challenge, so you can take it on again.
It’s easy to walk straight to the monk and leave: the Treasure Chest with the Great Frostblade is in the center of the room, and grabbing it takes seconds since nothing guards it.
The shrine is blocked by Bayge of the Goron Blood Brothers. Talk to him to start The Gut Check Challenge, then clear his Gut Check Rock Challenge minigame — climb the pinnacle while collecting at least 100 Rupees in under three minutes. Once you do, Bayge steps aside and the shrine opens.

Is there a puzzle inside Gorae Torr Shrine?
No. It's a Blessing shrine (Gorae Torr's Blessing) with one straightforward room. After the climb challenge outside, all that's left is looting the chest and collecting your Spirit Orb from the monk.
