Rona Kachta Shrine Guide: Fly the Forgotten Temple, Claim the Flameblade
How to reach Rona Kachta Shrine inside the Forgotten Temple, paraglide past the Decayed Guardians, and claim the Great Flameblade chest.
Where is Rona Kachta Shrine?
Rona Kachta Shrine hides at the back of the Forgotten Temple, in the canyon between Snowfield Stable and Serenne Stable (Tanagar Canyon), east of Snowfield Stable. You’ll have to find the temple entrance in the canyon, and the moment you step inside you’re immediately targeted by several Guardians—a large number of Decayed Guardians lie dormant within the temple until you arrive. The shrine itself sits in front of the huge Mother Goddess Statue at the temple’s far end.

What should you bring?
You need no runes, weapons, or armor for the shrine itself—it’s a Blessing trial with no puzzles, just a direct path to the monk’s pedestal. What you do want is food: prep meals that give you lots of hearts, plus stamina-replenishing dishes for one long paraglide run. Heart-heavy food is your safety net if a Guardian beam clips you mid-flight.

How do you solve Rona Kachta Shrine?
There’s no puzzle at all—the trial is officially named ‘Rona Kachta’s Blessing,’ and the monk tells you that by entering the place you’ve already proven your worth. The entire challenge is the approach: a mad dash by paraglider through the Forgotten Temple’s Guardian gauntlet.
1. Travel to the Forgotten Temple
Travel to the canyon between Snowfield Stable and Serenne Stable; the Forgotten Temple sits east of Snowfield Stable, within Tanagar Canyon.
Before going in, prep food that gives you lots of hearts and also replenishes stamina—you’ll want both for one continuous glide.
Find the temple entrance and step inside: the Decayed Guardians dormant within the ruins wake up and immediately target you the moment you enter.
2. Glide through the Temple to the Shrine
Don’t run it on foot—get airborne and open your paraglider as soon as you can; it’s far safer in the air than running on the temple floor.
Glide straight forward through all three areas of the temple, keeping your heading into the gusts of wind that funnel through the canyon.
If you start losing height, occasionally drop the paraglider and let the wind blow you back up higher, then reopen it to keep cruising above the Guardian lasers.
Keep flying past the Guardians instead of stopping to fight—one unbroken glide is much safer than running on the ground, and it’s easier than it looks.
Aim for the huge Mother Goddess Statue at the very back of the temple; it’s your landmark for the whole run.
Land only when you reach the space in front of the Mother Goddess Statue—the shrine entrance is right there at its feet.
3. Enter the Shrine
Step inside and the monk, Rona Kachta, greets you: ‘By entering this place, you’ve already proven your worth.‘
4. Claim the Treasure and Spirit Orb
Follow the direct path to the Monk’s Pedestal and open the stone Treasure Chest along the way—it contains the Great Flameblade.
Approach Rona Kachta to receive your Spirit Orb; the monk wishes that the Goddess smile upon you, then fades away.
What is in the chest?
| Chest | Contents | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Great Flameblade | A stone Treasure Chest sits along the direct path between the shrine entrance and the Monk’s Pedestal. Open it on your way to the monk—it’s the shrine’s only chest, and since the path is straight, it’s hard to miss. |
What do people miss here?
- Trying to fight the Decayed Guardians. A large number of them lie dormant in the temple and you’re targeted the instant you enter—the paraglide route through the three areas is much easier than it looks.
- Landing and running on the ground. Running on the temple floor is exactly what the lasers punish—stay airborne and let the wind blow you back up to a safe height.
- Flying in with no stamina food. If your stamina runs dry mid-temple you sink toward beam range—prep stamina-replenishing meals alongside heart-heavy dishes beforehand.
- Rushing straight to the monk and walking past the stone Treasure Chest on the path—it holds the shrine’s only loot, a Great Flameblade.
- Talking yourself out of the flight because it looks brutal—it’s definitely easier than you would think once you commit, ride the gusts, and glide it in one go.
