The entrance is behind a breakable rock wall at the base of Madorna Mountain, in the Mount Lanayru area. From Hateno Village, use the cedars on the snowy summits as your landmark. Their line points east toward the sea and the blocked cave.
The only requirement is the Remote Bomb rune to blast the rock wall sealing the cave entrance; Bomb Arrows work as an alternative. The bomb rune comes from Ja Baij Shrine’s bomb trial on the Great Plateau, so you’ll have it long before reaching this region. Beyond that, bring nothing special — the blessing chamber has no puzzle, no enemies, and no use for Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis, or any particular weapon or armor. Optionally pick up Secret of the Cedars from Clavia in Hateno Village for the riddle, but the quest is not needed to enter.
Bring Remote Bombs for the entrance. The blessing chamber does not require Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis, or a particular weapon.
1. Find the Hidden Shrine Entrance
Line up the summit cedars. From the snowy mountain visible from Hateno Village, position yourself so the three trees appear to overlap as one.
Turn your back to the trees and head east toward the sea. Look for the rock wall blocking a cave at the mountain’s base.
Bomb the obstructing rocks. Use a Remote Bomb to clear the cave entrance, then enter the shrine.

2. Collect the Chest and Blessing
Open the chest on the main path. Collect the Climbing Boots before continuing toward the altar.
Approach the monk. Receive the Spirit Orb to finish the blessing; there is no further puzzle inside.

Walk along the blessing chamber’s main path and open the chest before approaching the altar.
What do people miss here?
The sealed entrance reads like an ordinary cliff dead-end — Clavia’s ‘trial encased in stone’ is literally a bombable rock wall at the mountain’s base, and Bomb Arrows clear it just as well as Remote Bombs.
Don’t write this blessing shrine off as loot-free: the chest on the way to the monk holds the Climbing Boots, one piece of the climbing armor set.
If Secret of the Cedars is active, the quest completes the moment you bomb the wall and step inside the shrine — you don’t have to wait until you receive the Spirit Orb from the monk.
The three cedars stand on the snowy summits, but the shrine is not up there — it sits at the base of the mountain, due east of the trees toward the sea. Line the trees up into one from a distance (Hateno Village works) instead of climbing to them.
Look for a rock-blocked cave at the base of Madorna Mountain, east of the summit cedars. Use a Remote Bomb to break the wall and reveal the entrance.
Do I have to start Secret of the Cedars first?
No, you can reach and enter the shrine without starting the quest. If you want the clue, speak to Clavia in Hateno Village; it points you from the summit cedars toward the sea.
How do I solve Tahno O'ah's Blessing?
The challenge is finding and opening the entrance outside. Inside, follow the path past the chest to the monk; there is no additional mechanism puzzle or Test of Strength fight.
