TotK Cherry Blossom Tree Locations: All 8 Trees
All 8 cherry-blossom trees in Tears of the Kingdom on a map. Offer a fruit at one and Satori marks every nearby cave with a pillar of light.
Cherry-blossom trees are the large trees with pink flowers in Tears of the Kingdom, and all of Hyrule has only 8 of them. Each one has a stone dish at its foot. Put a fruit in the dish and Satori appears and marks the entrance of every cave nearby. This page lists the 8 trees on a map and explains how the offering works.

| 8 | Passer Hill | Tabantha | Show on map |
The landmark is the nearest named place on the map, so the tree is not always in the middle of that place. All 8 are on the surface; the sky islands and the Depths have none. By region: Hyrule Field 2, and Eldin, Faron, Gerudo, Lanayru, Necluda and Tabantha 1 each. Akkala, Hebra and Great Hyrule Forest have no cherry-blossom tree.
Some pointers for finding each one:
- Hyrule Field (Hylia River): on the grass northeast of Hyrule Castle Town Ruins. It is the closest to Lookout Landing and a good one to try first.
- Satori Mountain: beside the pond at the summit. You can climb west from Sonapan Shrine.
- Tabantha: on top of the rocks by Passer Hill.
- Lanayru: on a peak in the Zodobon Highlands.
- Necluda: at the summit of Ebon Mountain, above Hateno Village.
- Faron: east of Highland Stable.
- Gerudo: east of Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.
- Eldin: northwest of Darunia Lake.
The pink crown stands out from far away. Launch from a Skyview Tower and look in these directions, and you will usually spot the tree at once.
How do you make an offering?
- Walk up to the tree and find the stone dish at its foot.
- Open your inventory and hold a fruit. An Apple is the usual choice and a Wildberry works too. Things that are not fruit, such as carrots, reportedly do nothing.
- Place the fruit in the dish.
Once the fruit is in, Satori appears beside the tree and leaves a moment later. Embry, the owner of Outskirt Stable, passes on the legend: “When you make an offering to the tree, a mysterious creature will appear!”
What does the offering do?
After Satori leaves, a pillar of light rises from each cave entrance in the area. Walk toward a pillar and you reach the cave.
- Range: only the caves around that tree are marked, not the whole map. To mark another region, go to the tree there and make another offering.
- Duration: the pillars do not stay forever. They last about one in-game day and night (roughly 24 real minutes).
- Repeatable: once the pillars are gone, another fruit marks the caves again. There is no limit.
- Caves you have visited: caves you have already entered are said to light up too, so check your map to tell which ones are new.
How do the trees relate to caves and Bubbulfrogs?
A cherry-blossom tree gives no item. Its use is finding caves. A game tip says “They say every cave is home to a Bubbulfrog.” A defeated Bubbulfrog drops a Bubbul Gem, which you trade to Koltin for treasure. So when you want all 147 caves and all 147 Bubbulfrogs, one offering at each region’s tree is the easiest way to see what you have missed.
Koltin collects the gems because he wants to become a Satori himself. He describes the Bubbulfrog as “a straaange creature that loves dark caves and glows blueish-white like a Satori.”
What is different about the Satori Mountain tree?
The offering works the same as at the other 7. The difference is a side quest tied to it: A Picture for Outskirt Stable.
A map of cherry-blossom trees hangs inside Outskirt Stable and shows roughly where the 8 trees are. Next to it is an empty picture frame. Examine the frame and Embry says he wants a picture of a cherry-blossom tree, and that the closest one is northwest of the stable on Satori Mountain. Take a picture of the tree with the Camera (the viewfinder shows the name “Cherry-blossom tree”) and show it to him at the stable. The reward is an Egg Tart and a Pony Point. For the rest, see all side quests.
