How do you go down a chasm?
Jump in and fall; open your paraglider before you reach the bottom to land safely. The Depths are dark, so bring light: a game tip says “Brightbloom seeds blossom into flowers when struck, lighting up their surroundings. It’s good to carry a few in dark places” — and fused to an arrow they light an area from a distance. Lightroots light up much more and purify gloom; the 120 Lightroots each sit directly under one of the 120 surface shrines (map data), so the shrine map doubles as a Lightroot map.
Where does this data come from?
- Chasms, names and positions: the game’s map markers, as published for objmap-totk by zeldamods, with names from the game’s own text (TotkText, game version 1.2.1).
- Count: Game8, gamertw and TheGamer all list 36.
More: all 147 caves, all 58 wells, Yiga Schematics in the Depths and the Frox, which live only in the Depths.
