The shrine is in the Wasteland region, right next to the entrance into Gerudo Town — you’ll walk straight past it on your way in, and it’s completely unguarded, so you can enter directly with no shrine quest required. If you’re shrine-hopping, Raqa Zunzo Shrine lies to the south, while Dako Tah Shrine is to the northeast and Sasa Kai Shrine to the north.

What should you bring?

Nothing special is needed: the puzzle only uses the Magnesis rune, and there is no combat inside. You can take shock damage if you touch metal objects that are conducting electricity, so lift and place everything with Magnesis rather than walking over live metal. If you ever run short of conductors, metallic weapons or any form of Chuchu Jelly from your inventory can fill a gap.

How do you solve Daqo Chisay Shrine?

The whole shrine is one giant room wired as a single electric circuit: lines run from a glowing green power source near the entrance and light up green when current flows through them, and each gate opens when its lamp or switch is powered. The trial is about shuttling the same handful of metal objects from gap to gap until all four doors are open.

1. Open the Left Gate

Walk in and look down: a green power source glows near the entrance, with several wire lines running along the floor toward lamps and closed gates. On the left side of the room you’ll find your first conductors — a metal barrel and a big metal cube.

Head left and follow the bottom-left wire from the power source. Use Magnesis to drop the metal barrel into the tiny gap between the power source’s wire end and the next wire — the line beyond it turns green as current passes through.

Lift the big metal cube into the large gap further along the same wire, between the live section and the wire feeding the lamp by the far-left gate. The lamp lights, the left gate opens, and a second metal barrel becomes reachable.

2. Open the Right Gate and Loot the Chest

Go through the open gate and grab the second barrel with Magnesis. You now have three conductors: two barrels and one cube.

Move to the top-left wire. Place one barrel at the first gap; once the wire beyond it charges green, place the second barrel between that newly live wire and the next one.

Move the cube into the gap between the wire ends closest to the back wall. The current reaches the lamp beside the right-hand gate, and that gate opens to reveal a metal treasure chest.

Open the chest to get a Thunderblade, then keep the chest close by — it’s metal, and it’s your fourth conductor for the next phase.

3. Complete the Final Circuit and Reach the Altar

Magnesis the chest over to the right side of the room and set it at the end of the wire next to the ramp, so it charges up the wire beyond it.

Place a barrel between the end of that newly charged wire and the wire heading toward the right-hand wall, then set the second barrel at the end of the wire you just powered.

Put the metal cube between the two platforms on the right wall. The final gap on this line closes, a bulb lights up, and a gate opens to a side room containing a second big metal cube — the last object in the trial.

Retrieve the second cube and place it to the right of the stairs leading to the altar platform.

Move your first cube to the left of the stairs, so the two cubes flank the platform before the final room. Current flows through both cubes into the two switches and the last gate opens — walk up to the monk Daqo Chisay for your Spirit Orb.

What is in the chest?

ChestContentsHow to get it
1ThunderbladeBehind the right-hand gate — complete the top-left wire using both barrels and the cube to open it. Loot the blade, but keep the chest nearby: the metal chest itself is a required conductor for the right-side circuit.

What do people miss here?

  • The biggest miss: looting the Thunderblade and abandoning the chest. The metal chest is one of the four conductors needed to power the bottom-right wire — if the right side of the room won’t power up, go retrieve it.
  • You take shock damage from any object that’s currently conducting electricity, so don’t walk over or grab a live barrel or cube directly — reposition everything with Magnesis.
  • If a wire stays dark, the object isn’t bridging both wire ends. Nudge it with Magnesis until it sits squarely in the gap and the line lights up green.
  • Out of objects? Metallic weapons and any form of Chuchu Jelly from your inventory also conduct electricity — drop one into a gap as a stand-in.
  • Don’t go hunting for a shrine quest to unlock it: the entrance is unguarded right beside Gerudo Town’s entrance, so you can walk straight in.

FAQ

Where is Daqo Chisay Shrine?
Right outside the entrance to Gerudo Town in the Wasteland region. It's completely unguarded, so you can enter directly without solving any shrine quest. Raqa Zunzo Shrine is to the south if you're coming up through the desert.
What's in the Daqo Chisay Shrine chest?
A Thunderblade. The chest sits behind the right-hand gate — complete the top-left wire with both barrels and the cube to open it. Keep the chest afterward, since it's needed as a conductor on the right side of the room.
Why won't the wires turn green in Daqo Chisay Shrine?
Current only flows when a metal object fully bridges both ends of a gap. Nudge the barrel, cube, or chest with Magnesis until it sits squarely in the gap and the wire lights up green.
Can the electricity hurt me in this shrine?
Yes — touching an object that's conducting electricity will shock you. Handle everything with Magnesis and avoid standing on live metal while you reposition it.
What if I run out of metal objects to place?
Metallic equipment and any form of Chuchu Jelly in your inventory also conduct electricity, so you can drop one into a gap as an extra conductor.
