Korsh O'hu Shrine Walkthrough – The Seven Heroines Quest & Flamespear
How to complete The Seven Heroines quest, place all seven orbs, and claim the Flamespear in Korsh O'hu Shrine.
Where is Korsh O’hu Shrine?
Head to the East Gerudo Ruins in the Gerudo Desert. Rotana in Gerudo Town describes the temple as east of town, near the entrance to the Gerudo Desert, and the ruins lie southwest of Wasteland Tower — the tower is the best landmark to head from. The approach is unmistakable: seven tall sword-bearing statues overlook the area, each with a hole in the ground before it, and colored stone orbs lie scattered — and half-buried — around them.

What should you bring?
Magnesis is the only tool you need: all seven orbs are metallic spheres, and you pick each one up and move it into its corresponding hole with Magnesis. Two of the seven are half-buried in the ground and have to be pulled free before they can be moved. The shrine interior itself is a single blessing room with no puzzles and no enemies.

How do you solve Korsh O’hu Shrine?
This is a matching puzzle, not a dungeon: each of the seven orbs bears a symbol and color that matches a small emblem found somewhere on one of the seven heroine statues, and seating every orb in the hole before its statue makes the buried shrine rise. Finding each statue’s emblem yourself works, but it is tedious — the order below saves you the trouble.
1. Reach the East Gerudo Ruins
Talk to Rotana in Gerudo Town. She shares her archaeological research and tells you about a temple east of town, near the entrance to the Gerudo Desert — dedicated to the seven giant statues of the heroines, said to be the divine protectors of the Gerudo — which starts ‘The Seven Heroines’ shrine quest. Her ancient scripture reads: ‘When the symbols of the seven find their place, the blessed path will be revealed.’
Travel to the East Gerudo Ruins (east of Gerudo Town, southwest of Wasteland Tower). Seven tall swordsmen statues ring the area, each overlooking a hole in the ground, with colored stone orbs scattered around — the shrine itself stays buried beneath the sand until the puzzle is done.
Note the freebie first: the purple wave orb is already sitting in the correct hole at the southernmost statue. Leave it where it is — only six orbs actually need moving.
Learn the seating order, going clockwise from the west statue: red flame, brown arrow, green circle, two white dots, green wave, blue arrow, purple wave. To verify any pairing yourself, find the small colored emblem somewhere on each statue and match it to an orb’s symbol and color.
2. Place the seven orbs
Find the red flame orb: it’s half-buried in the ground next to the eastern (green wave) statue. Use Magnesis to pull it out of the earth, carry it to the western statue (first clockwise), and drop it into the hole there.
Find the brown arrow orb: it’s half-buried up the hill near the base of its own statue. Magnesis it free and set it into the hole right in front of that statue — second clockwise from the west statue.
Find the green circle orb: it’s resting on top of the arms of its own statue, so look up, not just around. Magnesis it down off the statue and into the hole at its base — third clockwise from west.
Find the two white dots orb: it’s lying on the ground near the southernmost (purple wave) statue. Pick it up with Magnesis and carry it to the northeastern statue — fourth clockwise from west.
Find the green wave orb: it’s near the northeastern (white dots) statue’s sword. Magnesis it over to the eastern statue and seat it there — fifth clockwise from west.
Find the blue arrow orb: it’s on the ground between the western (red flame) statue and the southern (purple wave) statue. Move it to the sixth statue clockwise from west and drop it in the hole.
Look over all seven holes and confirm every orb matches its statue’s emblem. Once all the balls are in the right holes, Korsh O’hu Shrine springs up out of the sand.
3. Enter the shrine and claim the blessing
Enter the shrine — its trial is named ‘Korsh O’hu’s Blessing.’ Korsh O’hu greets you (‘By entering this place, you’ve already proven your worth’), and inside is one large room with no puzzles and no enemies — just a direct path to the Monk’s Pedestal.
Open the treasure chest in the center of the room to claim the Flamespear.
Approach Korsh O’hu at the Monk’s Pedestal. He commends you for reaching the shrine, bestows a Spirit Orb in the name of Goddess Hylia, wishes you well, and fades away.
What is in the chest?
| Chest | Contents | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Flamespear | Once inside the shrine, the chest sits in the center of the one open room, on the direct path to the Monk’s Pedestal. Open it before you visit the monk, since there is nothing else to do inside. |
What do people miss here?
- The shrine is buried under the sand until all seven orbs are seated — you can comb the East Gerudo Ruins forever and find nothing until the orb puzzle is finished.
- Two orbs are half-buried and easy to walk straight past: the red flame orb is stuck in the ground next to the eastern statue, and the brown arrow orb is half-buried up the hill at the base of its own statue. Look for colored domes poking out of the earth and Magnesis them free.
- The green circle orb is elevated — it sits on top of its statue’s arms, so players scanning the ground miss it. Check the statues themselves, not just the sand around them.
- Don’t hunt for a seventh loose orb: the purple wave orb is already resting in its correct hole at the southern statue. Only six orbs need to be moved.
- Matching is by symbol and color, not by where an orb happens to lie — several orbs are found far from their home statue, like the white dots orb lying near the southern statue and the green wave orb lying by the northeastern statue’s sword. If you’ve placed orbs and the shrine hasn’t risen, pull the suspect back out with Magnesis and re-check the small emblem on each statue.
