◈ Select a shrine to explore its location.

Misae Suma Shrine stands in the East Barrens of the Gerudo Desert, in the game’s Wasteland region — its trial is designated ‘Misae Suma’s Blessing’. Other Ancient Shrines dot the surrounding desert, among them Korsh O’hu, Raqa Zunzo, and Tho Kayu, but this one sits out in the East Barrens. When you first arrive the shrine cannot be activated — a dehydrated woman named Pokki is leaning on the Sheikah Slate Terminal outside, and the shrine stays sealed until she moves.

What should you bring?

Nothing special is needed for the shrine itself — ‘Misae Suma’s Blessing’ is one large room with no puzzles and no enemies, so no runes, weapons, or armor come into play. The only pressure point is the ice run: Anche warns that the desert heat will melt the ice if you move too slowly, so plan a direct route and keep moving. A failed run costs nothing permanent — you can head back to the Northern Icehouse for more.

How do you solve Misae Suma Shrine?

The entire challenge sits outside the shrine: run ‘The Perfect Drink’ errand chain — Pokki to Furosa to Anche — and courier ice across the desert before it melts. Once Pokki clears the terminal, the trial inside is a straight blessing walk with a free chest.

1. Talk to Pokki at the Shrine

Make your way to the East Barrens in the Gerudo Desert (Wasteland region). At the shrine structure you’ll find a dehydrated woman named Pokki leaning against the Sheikah Slate terminal — talk to her to trigger the Shrine Quest ‘The Perfect Drink’.

Pokki groans that her throat is bone-dry and she can’t move a muscle — she’s convinced she’ll die without one last taste of an ice-cold Noble Pursuit. Until that drink shows up, she stays parked on the terminal and the shrine stays sealed.

2. Ask Furosa for the Drink

Find Furosa at The Noble Canteen and ask her for a Noble Pursuit for Pokki.

Furosa reveals she can’t make the drink without ice from the Northern Icehouse, and her legs aren’t in the best shape for hauling it herself. Pick the dialogue option ‘Should I get it for you?’ and she’ll accept your offer.

She adds two things before you go: the icehouse manager Anche will let you take some ice if you explain the situation, and you only need to carry it as far as the entrance to the ruins between town and the icehouse — Furosa will take it to Gerudo Town from there.

3. Carry Ice to the Ruins

Head to the Northern Icehouse and talk to Anche. Once she hears the ice is for Furosa, she gives you permission to take some and warns that it will surely melt if you move too slowly — this starts the ‘Carry the Ice!’ mini-game.

Grab the ice and run it toward the ruins entrance. Keep moving — detours and backtracking cost melt time, and if the ice melts before you arrive you’ll have to trek back to the icehouse.

Hand the ice over to Furosa at the ruins entrance. With it she can make the ultimate Noble Pursuit, and she asks you to let Pokki know the drink is waiting for her.

4. Activate the Shrine

Return to the shrine in the East Barrens and tell Pokki about the drink. Suddenly rejuvenated — ‘Pfft, I am GONE!’ — she runs off through the East Barrens toward Gerudo Town, finally clearing the terminal.

Place your Sheikah Slate on the terminal to activate Misae Suma Shrine and step inside.

5. Claim the Blessing

Monk Misae Suma greets you — by entering this place, you’ve already proven your worth — and the trial ‘Misae Suma’s Blessing’ shows its hand: one large room with no puzzles and no enemies, just a straight path toward the Monk’s Pedestal.

Stop at the stone Treasure Chest in the center of the room and open it for a Diamond.

Walk to the far end and speak with Misae Suma at the Monk’s Pedestal to receive your Spirit Orb — the monk wishes you well and fades away.

What do people miss here?

  • Trying to use the terminal on your first visit does nothing — Pokki is leaning on it, and only completing ‘The Perfect Drink’ moves her. Don’t waste time hunting for a hidden switch.
  • When talking to Furosa, you must choose ‘Should I get it for you?’ — she only hands over the errand once you volunteer to fetch the ice yourself.
  • The ice’s destination is the entrance of the ruins between the icehouse and town, not Gerudo Town itself — Furosa meets you there and takes it the rest of the way. Overrunning toward town just burns melt time.
  • Anche warns you outright: ‘If you move too slowly, the ice will surely melt.’ If it does melt mid-run, head back to the Northern Icehouse — you’re permitted to take more ice and try again with a more direct route.
  • The Diamond chest sits in plain sight mid-room, but players who sprint straight to the monk can leave without it. The shrine stays activated once unlocked, so you can re-enter any time to collect it.
