TotK Mystic Set: Koltin's Bubbul Gem Rewards and Rupee Padding
How to get the Mystic Headpiece, Robe and Trousers from Koltin in Tears of the Kingdom, how many Bubbul Gems each takes, and how Rupee Padding works.
The Mystic set is Koltin’s reward for Bubbul Gems, the crystals each cave’s Bubbulfrog drops. It cannot be upgraded and has no set bonus; what it has is Rupee Padding on every piece. Every frog and Koltin’s whole reward list are on the Bubbul Gems page; every set is in all armor.
How do you get each piece of the Mystic set?
Koltin collects Bubbul Gems. Your first gem goes to him in The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!; after that, in The Search for Koltin, each gem you hand over counts towards his next reward. The Mystic pieces come at these running totals:
- Mystic Robe — 8 gems.
- Mystic Trousers — 21 gems.
- Mystic Headpiece — 46 gems.
At 46 you have everything in his shop. You first meet Koltin with his brother Kilton by their balloon near Woodland Stable; after that he travels Hyrule at night with his stall, and Kilton, who moves to Tarrey Town, tells you where he is.
What does Rupee Padding do?
Every Mystic piece has Rupee Padding: when you take damage, you lose rupees instead of hearts. The set itself has no bonus.
