Tears of the Kingdom Snowquill Set: Where to Buy, Bonus, Upgrades
Buy the Snowquill Headdress, Tunic and Trousers in Rito Village in Tears of the Kingdom: prices, the Unfreezable set bonus, defense and upgrades.
The Snowquill set is the cold-weather set, and you need cold protection for Hebra and the Wind Temple early on. Rito Village sells it. For every set see all armor; the other upgrade tables are on armor upgrade materials.
Where do you find each piece of the Snowquill set?
All three are sold at Brazen Beak, the armor shop in Rito Village (Game8):
- Snowquill Headdress — 650 rupees.
- Snowquill Tunic — 500 rupees.
- Snowquill Trousers — 1,000 rupees.
Game8 gives the shop’s coordinates with the X sign dropped; the table uses Rito Village’s side of the map.

What does the Snowquill set bonus do?

Unfreezable
Cannot be frozen by ice attacks.
Active when all three pieces are at ★★ or higher.
Zelda Dungeon: “Negates all ice damage.” Each piece on its own has Cold Resistance, which is what keeps you from losing hearts in the cold.

What does it take to upgrade the Snowquill set?
Upgrades are done at a Great Fairy Fountain, one star at a time, for rupees plus materials. The table is per piece; the whole set needs three times as much.

Every piece in this set uses these materials.
The materials are all warm things: Red Chuchu Jelly, Warm Safflina, Sunshrooms, Fire Keese Wings, and Fire-Breath Lizalfos horns and tails. The same Warm Safflina and Sunshrooms make spicy (cold resistance) dishes, which do the job before you buy the set.
When should you wear the Snowquill set?
Wear it in Hebra, on the snowfields, on snowy sky islands and on the way to the Wind Temple. Once all three pieces are at two stars, Frost Gleeoks and Ice-Breath Lizalfos can no longer freeze you. Elsewhere it is just a defense set.
