TotK Soldier's Set: Royal Hidden Passage Chest Locations

The Soldier’s set is the armor of Hyrule’s soldiers, left in chests in the Royal Hidden Passage. It has no set bonus, but each piece reaches 28 defense, as high as the Zonaite set. The other plain defense set is the Hylian set; every set is in all armor.

How do you get into the Royal Hidden Passage?

The Royal Hidden Passage is a cave network under Hyrule Castle. One way in is from the Emergency Shelter under Lookout Landing: a wall there opens as the main quest goes on. There are also entrances from Hyrule Castle itself.

Where is each piece of the Soldier’s set?

• Soldier’s Helm — at the underground lake in the middle of the passage. Break the rubble that blocks a stone room beside the water; an Ice Like guards the chest.
• Soldier’s Armor — in a stone room further in, move the boulder in the corner with Ultrahand, drop down the hole, follow the tunnel and use Ascend to come up behind the bars where the chest is.
• Soldier’s Greaves — closer to the Lookout Landing end. Break the rubble that blocks another stone room; a Like Like guards the chest.

Does the Soldier’s set have a set bonus?

No. It is a defense set.

How much defense does each piece give?

4 at base and 28 at four stars.

What does it take to upgrade the Soldier’s set?

Upgrades are done at a Great Fairy Fountain, one star at a time, for rupees plus materials. The table is per piece; the whole set needs three times as much.
