TotK Reinforced Lizal Shield: Guard, Durability and Locations

Reinforced Lizal Shield is a shield in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game describes it this way: “This Lizal shield has been strengthened by adding a different type of metal to the mix. The edge is lined with spikes, so handle with care.” This page gives its numbers and maps every place the game puts one.

Where do you get Reinforced Lizal Shield?

The game’s world data places it in 11 spots: 1 in treasure chests, 9 carried by monsters, and 1 lying in the world. The most are near Secluded Coliseum in Necluda (3).

Zoom the map in to tell the points apart, and pick a kind or a monster in the list above it.

The same spots summed by nearest landmark, largest group first. “Show on map” moves the map above to one of them.

• Carried by a monster: beat the monster and it drops the weapon. Most often Blue Lizalfos (4), Ice-Breath Lizalfos (3), Electric Lizalfos (1), and Fire-Breath Lizalfos (1).
• Treasure chest: a chest can be opened only once.
• Lying in the world: placed in the scenery, free to pick up.

How good is Reinforced Lizal Shield?

It has guard 22 and durability 12. It has no special effect. The number is before Fuse; what a fused material adds is in the Fuse guide, and how durability runs down in weapon durability.
