Where is To Quomo Shrine?

The shrine sits at a tiny pond east of Hebra North Summit and west of Gellam’s Secret Hot Spring, in snow so empty the pond only appears on the map when you zoom all the way in. From the pond you can see the huge ribcage of the Hebra Great Skeleton arcing overhead, with a closed stone gate set into the ground past the water. Hia Miu Shrine is the closest neighbor to the west, while Mozo Shenno and Shada Naw shrines lie much farther to the southeast.

What should you bring?

The only hard requirement is the Cryonis rune — the door trick starts with two ice blocks in the pond, and without them the gate never opens. Otherwise bring nothing special: there are no enemies or puzzles inside, so weapons, armor, and food are all optional. If the gate survives a hit, the fix is a bigger snowball, not better gear.

How do you solve To Quomo Shrine?

This shrine’s entire challenge happens outside its walls: build a short ice bridge with Cryonis, then smash the giant stone door with the biggest snowball you can carry. The monk inside treats simply arriving as proof of your worth.

1. Locate the hidden pond and gate

Open your map and zoom all the way in on the area east of Hebra North Summit and west of Gellam’s Secret Hot Spring — only at full zoom does the tiny pond appear. Place a marker on it.

Travel to the pond and look around: the giant ribcage of the Hebra Great Skeleton arcs overhead, and past the pond you’ll spot a closed stone gate built into the ground.

2. Create an ice bridge across the pond

Use Cryonis twice in the pond to raise two ice blocks side by side, forming a little ice bridge across the water.

3. Roll a snowball to smash the gate

Run up the hill east of the gate to where the large snowballs lie in the snow.

Pick up the biggest snowball you can carry — smaller ones aren’t heavy enough to knock the gates down.

Carry it to the edge of the little cliff where the snowballs sit, aiming toward the gate.

Drop the snowball over the edge and watch it roll downhill — it slams into the stone doors and knocks them down.

If the doors hold, your snowball was too small: head back up the hill, grab a bigger one, and drop it again.

4. Enter the blessing shrine and claim your reward

Walk through the broken gateway and descend into the ice cave beneath the skeleton, then step onto the pedestal to activate and enter the shrine.

Inside there is no puzzle at all — the monk greets you and says that entering this place has already proven your worth. Follow the direct path forward.

Open the stone chest sitting on the path to receive the Royal Claymore.

Approach monk To Quomo at his pedestal to receive a Spirit Orb — he wishes you well and fades away.

What is in the chest?

What do people miss here?

• The pond is invisible on the map at normal zoom — most players ride straight past it. Zoom all the way in before setting out, or you’ll wander the snowfield around Hebra North Summit.
• Bringing a small snowball is the most common failure: only the biggest one you can pick up has the weight to knock the gates down. If the doors survive the hit, go back up the hill for a bigger ball.
• Don’t skip the two Cryonis blocks — build the little ice bridge in the pond before you roll, since the whole door trick runs on that setup.
• The Royal Claymore chest sits in the open on the way to the monk, and it’s tempting to run straight past it to the Spirit Orb. Miss it and you can still fast travel back later.
• Keep this shrine as a warp point after clearing it: the Hebra Great Skeleton directly overhead is relevant to the ‘Leviathan Bones’ side quest, so returning here later is easy.
