Breath of the Wild Salvager Set: Xenoblade Quest Shooting Star Chests

The Salvager set is a swimming set from a collaboration with Xenoblade Chronicles 2: three red shooting stars, three red chests. For every set see all armor; for the Great Fairies see armor upgrade materials.

How do you get the Salvager set?

The side quest Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was added in version 1.3.3 (Zelda Dungeon). Its clue: “The southern sky from the middle of the largest bridge. The eastern sky from the skull’s left eye. The southeastern sky from the peak of the tall, pierced snowy mountain.” Go to each place at night, look in that direction, and a red shooting star falls; a red chest stands where it lands (Zelda Dungeon).

1. Salvager Headwear — stand in the middle of the Bridge of Hylia and look south. Zelda Dungeon warns of Lizalfos on the bridge.
2. Salvager Vest — travel to Zuna Kai Shrine at Skull Lake and look east.
3. Salvager Trousers — climb to the top of Hebra Peak and look southeast, then glide down to the chest.

What does the set bonus do?

Each piece raises swim speed; the full set adds Swim Dash Stamina Up, which Zelda Dungeon describes as dashing in water using 50% less stamina — the same bonus as the Zora set. The set cannot be upgraded, so it applies as soon as all three pieces are worn.

How much defense does it give?

5 per piece. Zelda Dungeon: it cannot be upgraded or dyed, and after you have found it Granté in Tarrey Town sells it again.
