Breath of the Wild Barbarian Set: Lomei Labyrinth Locations, Upgrades

The Barbarian set is the attack set of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and getting it means solving the three Lomei Labyrinths. Every piece has Attack Up. For every set see all armor; for the Great Fairies and other sets see armor upgrade materials.

Where do you find each piece of the Barbarian set?

Each piece is a chest in the shrine at the center of a labyrinth (Game8; shrine from the game’s placement data):

• Barbarian Helm — Tu Ka’loh Shrine, on Lomei Labyrinth Island off the Akkala coast.
• Barbarian Leg Wraps — Qaza Tokki Shrine, in the North Lomei Labyrinth in Hebra.
• Barbarian Armor — Dila Maag Shrine, in the South Lomei Labyrinth in the Gerudo Highlands.

What does the Barbarian set bonus do?

Zelda Dungeon: “Charge Attacks consume less stamina.” Each piece on its own has Attack Up.

How much defense does each piece give?

3 at base and 20 at four stars, the same as most traveling sets.

What does it take to upgrade the Barbarian set?

Upgrades are done at a Great Fairy Fountain, one star at a time, for materials only (no rupees). The table is per piece.

Every star needs Lynel parts: horns, hooves, then guts. The Lynel locations page lists every Lynel. The fourth star also needs a horn shard from one of the three dragons, a different one for each piece, and the pieces do not share materials, so the table is per piece.

When should you wear the Barbarian set?

Wear it for fights with Lynels, Guardians, Hinoxes and the Blights, and in general whenever damage matters more than defense. It has no environmental protection, so change in the cold, the heat or near lava.
