BotW Phantom Ganon Set: EX Treasure Dark Armor Locations

The Phantom Ganon set is the dark armor from the Expansion Pass’s second pack, The Champions’ Ballad, hidden in the jungle of Faron. It works like a Radiant set with Stealth Up on every piece. You get it from the side quest EX Treasure: Dark Armor. Other DLC content is in the DLC guide; every set is in all armor.

Where is the Phantom Ganon set?

The quest points you to Misko’s EX Journal 2 in the Deya Village Ruins. It names three places in Faron:

The evil spirit’s armor set is hidden within Faron’s sea of trees. Find these pieces at the highest of three waterfalls north of Lake Floria… at the bridge between small waterfalls over Floria River… and at the broken stone bird of Ebara Forest.

All three chests are buried or under water; pull them out with Magnesis.

• Phantom Ganon Skull — the highest of the three waterfalls running from Corta Lake down to Lake Floria; the chest is in the water at its foot.
• Phantom Ganon Armor — under Sarjon Bridge, in Floria River.
• Phantom Ganon Greaves — Ebara Forest, buried beside the stone bird statue with the broken head.

What does the set bonus do?

Disguise; Bone Atk. Up, the same bonus as the Radiant set: Stal monsters such as Stalkoblins do not attack you unless you attack first, and bone weapons deal more damage. Every piece also has Stealth Up. People are said to cower when they see you in the full set.

How much defense does it give?

4 per piece, 12 for the set. It cannot be upgraded or dyed. If you sell it, Granté in Tarrey Town sells it again once you have found it.

Is the Phantom Ganon set worth wearing?

Yes for night travel: the Radiant set’s disguise plus Stealth Up on all three pieces, at the price of low defense. If you want the same bonus with upgrades, buy the Radiant set in Gerudo Town.
