Breath of the Wild Rubber Set: Helm, Armor, Tights Locations and Bonus

The Rubber set is the answer to electric enemies and to Vah Naboris. Two pieces are shrine chests and one is a side quest reward. For every set see all armor; for the Great Fairies see armor upgrade materials.

Where do you find each piece of the Rubber set?

One quest reward and two shrine chests (Game8; shrines from the game’s placement data):

• Rubber Helm — the side quest Thunder Magnet at Lakeside Stable.
• Rubber Tights — Qukah Nata Shrine, Faron region.
• Rubber Armor — Toh Yahsa Shrine, Ridgeland region.

What does the Rubber set bonus do?

Zelda Dungeon: “Negates all electric damage” (the game calls it Unshockable). Each piece on its own has Shock Resistance.

How much defense does each piece give?

3 at base and 20 at four stars.

What does it take to upgrade the Rubber set?

Upgrades are done at a Great Fairy Fountain, one star at a time, for materials only (no rupees). The table is per piece.

The materials are all electric: Yellow Chuchu Jelly, Voltfruit, Zapshrooms, Yellow Lizalfos tails, and Topaz. Thunderblight Ganon, the Blight in Vah Naboris, is the fight the set helps with most; see the Blights.

When should you wear the Rubber set?

Wear it in Vah Naboris and against Thunderblight Ganon, around Electric Lizalfos, Electric Wizzrobes and Electric Chuchus, and on the Thundra Plateau. Outside those it is just a defense set.
