Breath of the Wild Gerudo Set: Enter Gerudo Town, Heat Bonus, Price

The Gerudo set (the game calls the pieces Gerudo Veil, Gerudo Top and Gerudo Sirwal) is the one piece of clothing the story makes you get: without it Link cannot enter Gerudo Town. For every set see all armor; for the Great Fairies see armor upgrade materials.

How do you get the Gerudo set?

• During the story: the main quest Forbidden City Entry starts at Kara Kara Bazaar and ends with you owning the set (Game8, Zelda Dungeon).
• Buying more: the Fashion Passion shop in Gerudo Town, run by Saula, sells every piece. Zelda Dungeon: you already have the set by the time you can reach the shop, so it is only for spares or other colors; Saula herself points you to the Kochi Dye Shop in Hateno Village for dyeing. The game’s shop data lists 180 rupees per piece.

Why do you need it?

Gerudo Town does not let men in. Wearing the Gerudo set, Link passes as a woman and can enter (Zelda Dungeon). Inside are the Gerudo Secret Club (Desert Voe and Radiant sets), and the town’s other shops. The town also matters for Vah Naboris — see which Divine Beast to do first.

Zelda Dungeon: the Sand Boots and Snow Boots can replace the Gerudo Sirwal and the disguise still works.

Does the Gerudo set have a set bonus?

Zelda Dungeon lists Heat Resistance (Level 1) for the full set, and Game8’s armor-set overview gives the same; Game8’s per-piece armor list leaves the bonus blank, which is the disagreement noted above. The pieces cannot be upgraded, so it applies as soon as all three are worn.

How much defense does it give?

One point per piece, the lowest of any set, and no upgrades — wear it to get into the town, then change.
